Phanagoria Island is the third largest island in the Zed group off the north coast of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. Allen Island, Queensland

Allen Island is one of the South Wellesley Islands, in Queensland's Gulf of Carpentaria. It was named by Matthew Flinders after John Allen, a Derbyshire miner who was a member of the party of naturalists that accompanied the 1801–1803 voyage of HMS Investigator under Flinders. Flinders landed a party of botanists on the island on 20 November 1802 to search for plants.

New College Valley lies south of Cape Bird, on ice-free slopes above Caughley Beach on Ross Island, Antarctica. It faces north-west and carries meltwater from the Cape Bird ice cap during the summer. It is protected as Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASPA) No.116 because it contains some of the richest stands of mosses, with associated microflora and fauna, in the Ross Sea region.

The Battle of Phú Lộc took place from 28 August to 10 December 1974 when North Vietnamese forces captured a series of hills and installed artillery that closed Phu Bai Air Base and interdicted Highway 1. The hills were recaptured by the South Vietnamese in costly fighting that depleted its reserve forces.
