Valor Christian High School is a private, Christian high school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, United States. The school colors are Navy blue, Columbia blue, and white, and the school nickname is The Eagles. Valor has four major focuses: Academics, [5] Arts, [6] Athletics, [7] and Discovery (missionary outreach). [8]
Valor Christian has been named a Blue Ribbon school twice. The first time was in 2015 and the second in 2021. [9] [10] Valor Christian was the only Colorado high school named as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2021. [10]
Valor Christian offers a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as Dual Credit (DC) courses through certified local universities. As of the 2020–2021 school year Valor Christian offers 21 AP Courses and 14 DC courses. [11]
The Valor Christian campus is 35 acres, [12] and consists of: an academic building with a library, labs, and 35 classrooms; the Valor Center for Culture & Influence, including a theatre, performance hall, and studios and classrooms for arts and media; and the athletics facilities, including the athletics building, a 5,200-seat artificial turf stadium, and athletics fields. [13] Plans exist for a STEM Building and Aquatics building, yet the necessary land and funding has not been acquired by the school.
In August 2021, the school was accused of forcing the resignations of two gay coaches based on their sexual orientation. [14] [15] Valor officials issued a statement stating that "they require staff, faculty and volunteer leaders to agree with Valor’s Christian beliefs set forth in the school’s statement of belief and to live in accordance with it." [14]
The school is known for its sports program, especially football. They have won multiple state championships . [16]

Valor has been known to have high-profile coaches. 2 time NCAA Champion Coach and Stanley Cup Finalist Assistant Coach George Gwozdecky has been the Ice hockey coach at Valor since 2015. [48] For the 2018 and 2019 Football seasons Super Bowl Champion Ed McCaffrey was the head coach. [49] Brent Vieselmeyer, now an NFL assistant coach, was head coach at Valor Christian. [50] Four Time World Series Champion Mike Timlin continues to work as an assistant for the Valor baseball team. [51]
Ed McCaffrey is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos. He played college football for the Stanford Cardinal, earning first-team All-America honors in 1990.

Located in The Pinery, an unincorporated community south of Parker along SH 83, Ponderosa is the second oldest high school in Douglas County and the original high school in the Parker area. The school's team name is "The Mustangs" which was first adopted in 1980.
The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) is the governing body for all high school activities throughout the state of Colorado. It was founded in 1921, and as of the 2022–23 school year has a membership of 367 full-time high schools, plus more than 50 middle and junior high schools, for a total of more than 400 schools. The Association hold championships for 29 different sports for both boys and girls, plus competitions in esports, music, sportsmanship, student council, and spirit.
Mesa Ridge High School is a school in Widefield School District 3, a school district in El Paso County, Colorado. The school is zoned to receive students from Fountain, and the Colorado Springs suburbs of Security and Widefield. Mesa Ridge opened in 1997. The first graduating class commenced in 2000. Logan played as a wide receiver for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1976 to 1984, primarily for the Cleveland Browns. He has been the voice of Denver Broncos football for 23 years, serving as the team's color analyst for six seasons prior to sliding into the play-by-play role. He has been a major voice on 850 KOA radio in Denver for nearly 30 years, and in 2016 was the key on-air figure when iHeartMedia launched the radio station Denver Sports 760.
