Wada Vidhan Sabha constituency was one of the seats in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in India. Wada is near Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. The area under this seat is now mostly divided as a part of Bhiwandi Rural and Vikramgad Vidhan Sabha seats since 2008.

Vishnu Savara, who represented this Wada seat (विष्णु सावरा, वाडा मतदारसंघ) for close to 20 years, was later elected to Vidhan Sabha from Bhiwandi Rural Assembly constituency in 2009 and from Vikramgad seat in 2014. [1]

The Mahārāṣṭra Vidhāna Sabhā or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies. The members of the upper house, the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad are indirectly elected through an electoral college.

Vishnu Savara was a leader of the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party. His parents belonged to a family of farmers residing in the village of Galtare in Wada, a tehsil in Palghar district. Savara, a cabinet minister for tribal development in the government of Maharashtra, was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Wada constituency in 1990, 1995, 1999, and 2004. In 2009, after delimitation, he won the Bhiwandi Rural Vidhan Sabha election. In the 2014 assembly election, Savara won the Vikramgad Vidhan Sabha seat.
