The first held elections were in 2009 and its first member of parliament (MP) was Harischandra Devram Chavan of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bhaskar Bhagare of the NCP(SP) is elected as Member of Parliament in 2024. Now he represents Dindori Loksabha Constituency by defeating BJP Candidate Bharati Pawar.
