The church was founded in 1880 to serve a Norwegian immigrant congregation. The Victorian Gothic church was constructed during 1883. The church and adjacent cemetery were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Neogothic Revival-styled church built in 1910 in Hartland, Wisconsin to serve its German-speaking Lutheran congregation. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
German Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Mark is a historic church and synagogue building at 323 East 6th Street between First and Second Avenues in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The Renaissance Revival style church was built in 1847 by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Matthew which first rented it to St. Mark's and subsequently sold it to them in 1857. By the end of the nineteenth century the congregation was in decline as congregants were moving elsewhere. Much of the church membership was killed in the 1904 General Slocum disaster, most of the victims being women and children, and the congregation never recovered.

It was built between 1814 and 1816, and is a two-story, reddish-brown stone building with an addition added in 2016. It is an example of early-19th century Germanic style architecture. It was originally a one-story building; the second floor was added in 1861. Major repairs occurred in 1883, 1930, and 1936. Adjacent to the church is a cemetery with burials dating to 1793.
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery is a historic Evangelical Lutheran cemetery and national historic district located near Speedwell, Wythe County, Virginia. The cemetery includes approximately 250–300 total gravestones. Forty two of the stones have dates ranging from the 1790s to 1840, but all were carved between about 1835 to 1840. It is likely that a skilled carver moved to the area in the mid-1830s and provided stones for many graves, which formerly had been marked with improvised stone or wooden markers, then completed his work by 1840. The thick sandstone markers are Germanic stones with surviving inscriptions.
