Hayden Ranch Headquarters is located near Leadville, Colorado and is an example of early high country agricultural operations. Colorado Mountain College currently owns the property.

A 35 acres (14 ha) portion of the original ranch was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. The listing included 16 contributing buildings and a contributing site.

The ranch is at elevation of 9,180 feet (2,800 m). It is located about ten miles south of Leadville and eighteen miles north of Granite, Colorado on U.S. Highway 24, which is also known as the Top of the Rockies State and National Historic and Scenic Byway. It is close to the Derry Mining Site Camp, which is also National Register-listed. [2]

The Leadville Historic District is in the mining town of Leadville, Colorado. The National Historic Landmark District includes 67 mines in the mining district east of the city up to the 12,000 foot level, and a defined portion of the village area. It was designated in 1961. Then, when the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) program was started in 1966, Leadville's National Historic District was included in its first day's listings, along with all other existing National Historic Landmarks. The NRHP district was later expanded, adding a number of structures along the Harrison Avenue corridor, and making them eligible for historic preservation grants and tax subsidies, too.

Healy House Museum was the Leadville, Colorado home built in 1878 by mining engineer and city father August R. Meyer for his bride, Emma. It was purchased in 1888 by Daniel Healy (1857-1912), who operated a boarding house with his cousin Nellie Healy. An immigrant from Ireland, Healy served Leadville as a mail carrier and later assistant postmaster. He subsequently started several successful businesses and represented Leadville in Colorado's state legislature from 1903 to 1905.

The Holden/Marolt Mining and Ranching Museum is located on the former Holden Lixiviation Works facility on the western edge of the city of Aspen, Colorado, United States. It consists of two remaining buildings from the facility, as well as the relocated McMurchy/Zupancis domestic buildings. In 1990 the property was recognized as a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the only district in the city to be so recognized.

Derry Mining Site Camp was a mining site camp near Leadville, Colorado that operated during 1916–1923. It is located on the old Twin Lakes Toll Road, at an elevation of 9,320 feet (2,840 m). The placer mine was established on and named after the Derry Ranch established by Samuel Derry, who purchased the land in May of 1878. He homesteaded and farmed hay that was sold to feed the animals that worked in the gold rush operations in Leadville. When Derry died in 1889, his son Calaincourt Derry inherited the ranch and continued farming it until his death in 1908, at which time the ranch was sold to the Saguache Gold Mining Company, which began small-scale placer mining.

The Raycraft Ranch, located north of Carson City, Nevada on U. S. 395 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It has significance for being the site of the first airplane flight in Nevada, on June 23, 1910. The listing included 334.2 acres (135.2 ha) with two contributing buildings and one other contributing structure.
