Uttar Pradesh Sametata Khud ko Itihaas ke Pannon Mein (Uttar Pradesh Covers Itself in the Pages of History) is the song of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, which was adopted in 2022 as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" initiative to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Indian independence. Uttar Pradesh is a state in northern India. With over 200 million inhabitants, it is the most populated state in India as well as the most populous country subdivision in the world. It was established in 1950 after India had become a republic. It was a successor to the United Provinces (UP) during the period of the Dominion of India (1947–1950), which in turn was a successor to the United Provinces (UP) established in 1935, and eventually of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh established in 1902 during the British Raj. The state is divided into 18 divisions and 75 districts, with the state capital being Lucknow, and Prayagraj serving as the judicial capital. On 9 November 2000, a new state, Uttaranchal, was created from Uttar Pradesh's western Himalayan hill region. The two major rivers of the state, the Ganges and its tributary Yamuna, meet at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, a Hindu pilgrimage site. Other notable rivers are Gomti and Saryu. The forest cover in the state is 6.1 per cent of the state's geographical area. The cultivable area is 82 per cent of total geographical area and net area sown is 68.5 per cent of cultivable area.

He heard Thakkar Bapa's public address, spreading Mahatma Gandhi's quest for "FREE INDIA", left home in search of Azaadi, aged barely 9/10 years, and became a close aide of Mahatma Gandhi. He followed Thakkar Bapa from Uska, in siddharthnagar district, Uttar Pradesh to Sevagram to meet Mahatma Gandhi and fight for India achieve Freedom from the British. Gandhiji, was perplexed to see such a young boy wanting to participate in “Indian Freedom Struggle” and allowed him to stay at 'Segaon', which later come to be known as Sevagram. He is listed as the youngest member of Wardha Aahram. Gandhi also personally taught him.

Y Adinarayana Reddy was an Indian Freedom Fighter and Politician. He organized the Individual Satyagraha Movement 1940 in the District and suffered three months in the Vellore Central Jail. He was a two term Member of Parliament, representing Andhra Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha the upper house of India's Parliament as a member of the Indian National Congress. He even served as Member of the Legislative Assembly of the earlier Madras Legislative Assembly and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Rayachoti. He was also elected as MLC by Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council.

Avadh Bihari was an Indian revolutionary freedom fighter. He directed revolutionary activities in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and participated in the plot to throw a bomb on Lord Hardinge, the Viceroy of India, in what became known as the Delhi Conspiracy in 1912. He was condemned to death and hanged in 1915 at the age of 26.
Moje Riba (1890–1982) was an Indian freedom fighter who contributed to the Indian independence movement and was the first person to hoist the Indian national flag in Arunachal Pradesh after independence, on 15 August 1947. He was the first INC President of Arunachal Pradesh. On 15 August 1972, he was awarded the Tamra Patra by the then Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi, for his sacrifice and contribution in the freedom movement. He died on 1982 at his residence in Daring village.
