Uttarakhand Devabhumi Matribhumi (English: Uttarakhand, Land of the Gods, O Motherland!) is the official state song of the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
The song was written by Hemant Bisht and composed by noted Uttarakhandi folk singer and musician Narendra Singh Negi.
This song is trilingual with first three of its seven verses written in Hindi, while the last four verses are written in Garhwali and Kumaoni languages. [1]
The song is a hymn, praising Uttarakhand as a divine motherland. The theme is set to reflect the geography, ecology, fauna and flora, culture, festivals, music, cuisine, arts, and lifestyle of the people of Uttarakhand.
In July 2015, a six-member State Song Selection Committee chaired by Laxman Singh Bisht 'Batrohi' was constituted by the Department of Culture of Uttarakhand Government for the selection of state song. At the selection committee's sixth meet on 19 January 2016, the song Uttarakhand Devabhumi Matribhumi penned by Hemant Bisht, a lecturer of Biology at the Government Inter College, Nainital was finally selected as the official state song among 203 entries it received from all-over India. On 6 February 2016, the song was approved and adopted by the Uttarakhand Council of Ministers headed by then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat, as the official state song of Uttarakhand. Vande Mataram is a poem written in Sanskrit and Sanskritised Bengali by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in the 1870s. The first two verses of the poem were adopted as the National Song of India in October 1937 by the Congress.

Chal Guru Ho Ja Shuru is a 2015 Hindi film Produced by Pankaj Narayan and Apoorva Bajaj of Ath Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. in association with Himalayan Dreams, the film is a take on the fake godman who rules the roost these days. The film is a comic satire on the life of the many fake new-age gurus who thrive at the ignorance of general public. It is a satire on those who use religion for their petty personal gains. At same time, the film also carries a strong social message. Directed by Manoj Sharma, who was in news some years back for his another directorial venture Swaha: Life Beyond Superstition. The lead role is played by actor Hemant Pandey who essayed the rile of Pandeyji in the noted TV serial Office Office, that was telecast on Sab TV. Sanjay Mishra, best known for his character of Apple Singh, an "icon" used by ESPN Star Sports during the 1999 Cricket World Cup, is also portraying an important role in the film. In fact, most actors of Office Office have been roped for this film. Others include Chandrachur Singh, Brijendra Kala, Geeta Bisht, Tiku Talsania, Govind Pandey and Vrajesh Hirjee. The film was released in India on 30 January 2015.
Ranbir Singh Bisht (1928–1998) was an Indian painter and the Principal of the College of Fine Arts, Lucknow University. Born in 1928 at Landsdowne in Garhwal, in the present day Indian state of Uttarakhand, he secured Drawing Teacher's Training Certificate and Diploma in Fine Arts from the Government College of Art and Craft, Lucknow. He conducted many solo shows in a number of Indian cities besides a show in New York and participated in group shows in Frankfurt and Tokyo. He was also a participant of the 4th Triennale at New Delhi in 1972.
