TenThousand Projects, LLC, doing business as 10K Projects (formerly Strainge Entertainment), [1] is an American record label founded in 2016 by British record executive Elliot Grainge. [2]
The label was founded as Strainge Entertainment by Elliot Grainge in 2016. [3] Grainge is the son of veteran executive Lucian Grainge, who is chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group. After a lawsuit by rapper Tech N9ne in 2017, citing the name similarities of his label Strange Music, the label rebranded as TenThousand Projects, and later shortened to 10K Projects. [1]
Distribution was handled by Universal through Virgin Music Group [4] until September 2023, when the label announced would move to Warner Music Group in a joint-venture. [5] [6]

The Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) was an American recording music unit, formed on December 31, 1998 by Universal Music Group. It consisted of labels created under the operations of Island Records and Def Jam Recordings. On April 1, 2014, Universal Music Group publicly announced the disbandment of the Island Def Jam Music Group, leaving IDJMG and its affiliated subsidiaries compelled as separate sister labels.
Universal Records was a record label owned by Universal Music Group and operated as part of the Universal Motown Republic Group. The label has been dormant since 2006, due to Universal Motown and Universal Republic Records being formed and taking all of the artists from it.
