Harry Martinson was a Swedish writer, poet and former sailor. In 1949 he was elected into the Swedish Academy. He was awarded a joint Nobel Prize in Literature in 1974 together with fellow Swede Eyvind Johnson "for writings that catch the dewdrop and reflect the cosmos". The choice was controversial, as both Martinson and Johnson were members of the academy.

Frida, en trotjänarinna is a 1999 documentary film which originally aired over SVT on 3 May 1999. It aired in Denmark on 10 March 2000.
Sällskapet till belöning av trotjänare is a nonprofit organization in Sweden, established in 1828, giving prizes and awards to domestic worker girls and women who have worked for at least 15 years for the same family in Stockholm County. The activities of the organization was brought to public attention on 4 March 1987 at SR P1.
