<span class="mw-page-title-main">Anna Lindh</span> Swedish politician (1957 – 2003)

Ylva Anna Maria Lindh was a Swedish Social Democratic politician and lawyer who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1998 until her death. She was also a Member of the Riksdag for Södermanland County until her assassination. On 10 September 2003, four days before a referendum on replacing the Swedish krona with the euro as currency, Lindh was stabbed by Mijailo Mijailović at the NK department store in central Stockholm; she died the next morning at Karolinska University Hospital. Anna Lindh had been seen as a likely candidate to succeed Göran Persson as Social Democratic party leader. Her greatest commitment was to international cooperation and solidarity, as well as to environmental issues. She worked on these issues throughout her career, serving as Environment Minister from 1994 to 1998, and then as Foreign Minister for the last five years of her life.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mijailo Mijailović</span> Swedish murderer (born 1978)

Mijailo Mijailović is the self-confessed and convicted assassin of the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Anna Lindh, whom he stabbed on 10 September 2003 at the NK department store in Stockholm. Lindh died early the following day after unsuccessful surgical treatment to try to save her life.

Olle Henrik Martin Anderberg was a Swedish wrestler. He competed in the 1948, 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics in freestyle and Greco-Roman events and won a silver medal in the Greco-Roman featherweight in 1948 and a gold in the freestyle lightweight in 1952. Between 1942 and 1962 Anderberg won three world, two European and 27 national titles.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Börje Leander</span> Swedish footballer

Oscar Börje Leander was a Swedish footballer. He played 249 matches as a midfielder for AIK and scored 25 goals, mostly successful penalty kicks. He also played 23 times for the Swedish national team, scoring four goals. He was part of the Swedish Olympic squad that won the gold medal in 1948 Summer Olympics. When Knut Nordahl was injured in the opening match against Austria, Leander stepped in as a substitute right-back, and stayed until the final, when Nordahl recovered.
