In 1910 Haakon VII serves his sixth year as King of Norway. On 1 February Wollert Konow takes over as Prime Minister after Gunnar Knudsen, who has held this position since 1908.

Erik Borge was a Norwegian film director and screenwriter. He was born in Kristiania. Among his productions was Trost i taklampa from 1955, based on Alf Prøysen's novel. He was manager of the company Norsk Film from 1966 to 1984. He received the Amanda Committee's Honorary Award in 1989, shared with Erik Diesen.

Gunnar Sandgren was a Swedish journalist, novelist and playwright.
Tobias Berggren was a Swedish poet. He made his literary debut in 1969. Among his later collections are Namn och grus from 1973 and Fält och legender from 1997. He was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 1992.
Irja Agnes Browallius was a Swedish teacher, novelist and short story writer. She was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 1962.

Per Odensten was a Swedish novelist and poet. He made his literary debut in 1981 with the novel Gheel. Among his other novels are Vänterskans flykt from 2004, and Horntrollet from 2007. He was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 2000.
Johan von Mangelsen was a Norwegian military officer and businessperson. He was born in Berg, and was married to Cathrine Bugball, a daughter of Sara Hammond. He was Norways's principal representative at the border negotiations with Sweden between 1743 and 1751. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 1758. Through his marriage, Mangelsen became a significant shareholder of the Røros Copper Works, and took actively part in the business.
Johanne Reutz Gjermoe was a Norwegian economist and politician, a proponent for women's rights and peace activist. She was born in Bergen. She chaired the office of statistics at the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions from 1925. From 1935 to 1938 she was a delegate to the League of Nations. She was decorated with the King's Medal of Merit for her peace works. A biography of her was published in 2001.

Søilen Teater was a theatre that opened in Oslo in 1930. It was managed by Sophus Dahl until 1932. It was then a supporting stage for Chat Noir until 1934. From 1934 to 1939 the theatre was run by Henry Gleditsch, and from 1939 it was run by Aud Ricther. From 1942 it housed Leif Juster's stage Edderkoppen Theatre, and in 1945 it housed Studioteatret.
