The event was held at the Palmer Park, Reading, Berkshire, on 9 July 1927. An additional discipline was contested, with two hurdles events over 75 metres and 100 yards being held. [3] [4]

Willem Peters was a Dutch athlete who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics, in the 1928 Summer Olympics, and in the 1932 Summer Olympics. From 1927 to 1937 Peters won six triple jump titles at the prestigious AAA Championships.
