The 1973 AAA Championships was the 1973 edition of the annual outdoor track and field competition organised by the Amateur Athletic Association (AAA). It was held from 13 to 14 July 1973 at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London, England. [1] [2]
The Championships covered two days of competition. The marathon was held in Harlow.
The 10 miles event was discontinued.

Emil Robert Voigt was a British athlete, winner of the Olympic 5 miles race in 1908 representing Great Britain.
Erik Albin Almlöf was a Swedish athlete who specialized in the triple jump. He competed at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, where he won the bronze medal. Due to World War I no Olympics were held in 1916, but Almlöf returned to the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium, where he won his second Olympic bronze medal.
