The 1973 European Athletics Junior Championships was the second edition of the biennial athletics competition for European athletes aged under twenty. It was held in Duisburg, West Germany between 24 and 26 August. [1]

1964 European Junior Games

The 1964 European Junior Games was the first edition of what would become the biennial athletics competition for European athletes aged under twenty. It was an unofficial competition without sanction from the European Athletic Association. The event was held at the 10th-Anniversary Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, between 18 and 20 September. The success of the competition eventually led to the creation of the official European Athletics Junior Championships in 1970.

Lorraine Ugen English long jumper and sprinter

Lorraine Ugen is an English long jumper and occasional 100 m sprinter with respective personal bests of 7.05 m and 11.32 s. Ugen competed for Great Britain in Rio at the 2016 Olympics in the long jump where she secured her spot as an Olympic finalist finishing eleventh (11th) overall.
