The men's long jump event at the 1985 European Athletics Indoor Championships was held on 3 March in Piraeus, Greece. [1] [2] In a rare occurrence, the first two athletes recorded the same distance in their best jump and the second best jump. Because of this, the third best jump decided the gold medal.
