The 1995 World Wushu Championships was the 3rd edition of the World Wushu Championships, and was held in Baltimore, United States of America from August 19 to August 22, 1995. [1] [2] This marked the first time a major international Wushu competition was held outside of Asia. [3] [4]

Xu Huihui is an actress and former competitive wushu taolu athlete who lives in the United States. She is a three-time world champion and is one of the most renowned athletes to represent a European country at the World Wushu Championships. Dương Thúy Vi is a wushu taolu athlete from Vietnam. She is one of the most renowned Southeast Asian athletes of all time, having won numerous medals at the World Wushu Championships, Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games, and the Asian Wushu Championships.

The 1991 World Wushu Championships was the 1st edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held in Beijing, China from October 12 to October 16, 1991. This was the first international competition held and organized by the International Wushu Federation.

The United States of America Wushu Kungfu Federation (USAWKF) is the governing body of wushu-kungfu in the United States. The USAWKF manages and selects the members of the US Wushu Team to compete in various international competitions including the World Wushu Championships, World Junior Wushu Championships, World Kungfu Championships, and the World Taijiquan Championships. The USAWKF also develops regional and national activities relating to Wushu, and has had great influence on how wushu taolu and sanda events are run in the United States. The 2023 World Wushu Championships was the 16th edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, United States, from November 16 to 20, 2023.

The wushu (taolu) competition at the 2022 World Games took place in July 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the Bill Battle Coliseum. Originally scheduled to take place in July 2021, the Games were rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2014 Nanjing Youth Wushu Tournament was a wushu competition which was held from August 22 to 24, 2014 at the Gaochun Gymnasium in Nanjing, China. The name "Nanjing Youth Wushu Tournament" was used to specify that wushu was only an invitational sport at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and not an official event.

The Pan American Wushu Championships is a continental wushu championship hosted by the Pan American Wushu Federation (PAWF), the official continental representative of Pan America to the International Wushu Federation (IWUF). The PAWF was founded at the 1995 World Wushu Championships in Baltimore, USA, and since 1996, the Pan American Wushu Championships have been held every two years.

Leung Yat Ho is a former actor and wushu taolu athlete from Hong Kong. He was a two-time world champion in nanquan and was also a triple silver medalist at the Asian Games.

Ng Siu Ching is a former wushu taolu athlete from Hong Kong. She achieved an extensive medal record in international competition, becoming the first taolu athlete to win five gold medals at the World Wushu Championships. Ng also had multiple victories in the Asian Games and the East Asian Games.

Colvin Wang is a former wushu taolu athlete from the United States of America. He won a gold medal at the 2013 World Games.

Nguyễn Thúy Hiền is a Vietnamese former wushu taolu athlete. She is the most renowned wushu athlete of all time, having been a seven-time world champion. Due to her numerous achievements, she was voted as the best Vietnamese female athlete of the 20th century.

Lei Fei is an actor, businesswoman, and a retired professional wushu taolu athlete from Macau.

Park Chan-dae is a South Korean retired competitive wushu taolu athlete who is currently the coach of the Korean Wushu Team. During the 1990s, he became one the most successful wushu athletes outside of China. He was a six-time world champion and has achieved victories at the Asian Games and the East Asian Games.
