The 2003 World Wushu Championships was the 7th edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held at the Indoor Stadium of the Macau Polytechnic Institute in Macau, China from November 3 to November 7, 2003. [1] [2] 411 athletes from 59 IWUF national federations participated in this event. This is the first edition where women's sanshou was added.

Bao Xian Fei is a former wushu taolu athlete and actor from the Netherlands. He is a three-time world champion.
Steven Roy Coleman is a British Wushu athlete and actor. He is a two-time European wushu champion having been the second gold medallist for Great Britain in daoshu ans gunshu behind Ray Park, and is a multiple-time medallist at the European Wushu Championships. Coleman has also won the Great Britain National Wushu Championships multiple times and has broke and set many Great Britain National Wushu records. He is said to have one of the longest competitive wushu careers, having competed internationally for over twenty years.
Mohammed Hussein Al-Ashwal is a Yemeni Wushu martial artist. He was born on 20 October 1983 in Muharraq, Bahrain. He won bronze medals in the men's 48 kg sanshou category at both the 2003 and 2005 World Wushu championships.
Muslim Magomedovich Salikhov is a Russian professional mixed martial artist and Sanda fighter. He currently competes in the Welterweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A multiple-time Wushu Sanda world champion, Salikhov occupies a place alongside Hossein Ojaghi as one of only two non-Chinese athletes to have won the Wushu Sanda King's Cup.
Jade Xu Hui-hui is a Chinese-born martial artist, actress, stunt performer, and former wushu taolu competitor, who has resided and competed in Italy and the United States. She is a three-time world champion and is one of the most renowned athletes to represent a European country at the World Wushu Championships.
Huang Junhua is a professional wushu taolu athlete from Macau. He is a two-time world champion and the second ever gold medallist for Macau at the Asian Games.

Willy Reyes Wang is a former wushu taolu athlete from the Philippines. He is one of the most decorated Filipino wushu athletes of all time in international competition and became especially renowned after his gold medal victory at the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament.

Khaing Khaing Maw is a former wushu athlete from Myanmar. She is a one-time world champion and a double silver medalist at the World Wushu Championships. She also won the gold medal in women's taijiquan at the 2001 Southeast Asian Games. At the 2002 Asian Games, she won the gold medal in women's taijiquan, Myanmar's first medal in wushu at the Asian Games. Her last competition was at the 2004 Asian Wushu Championships where she won a gold medal in taijiquan.

Xi Cheng Qing is a retired wushu taolu athlete from Macau. She is a triple medalist at the World Wushu Championships, she won the silver medal in women's changquan at the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament, and she is a double medalist at the East Asian Games and the Asian Wushu Championships.
Cheng Ka Ho is a retired professional wushu taolu athlete and a former captain of the Hong Kong Wushu Team.
Chow Ting Yu, known professionally as Marvel Chow, is a retired professional wushu taolu athlete and actor from Hong Kong.
Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Đức is a former wushu taolu athlete from Vietnam. She was a triple medalist at the World Wushu Championships, triple medalist at the Asian Wushu Championships, and an eight-time medalist at the Southeast Asian Games. She also won the bronze medal in women's changquan at the 2002 Asian Games. She retired in 2007 and became a coach.
Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Oanh is a former wushu taolu athlete from Vietnam. She is a three-time medalist at the World Wushu Championships including a one-time world champion, a four-time medalist at the Southeast Asian Games, and a medalist at the Asian Games and the Asian Wushu Championships.
