The 2013 World Wushu Championships was the 12th edition of the World Wushu Championships. [1] [2] It was held at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 1 to November 5, 2013.

The 2001 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 21st Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This was the fifth time that Malaysia plays as SEA Games hosts, the country previously held the event in 1965, 1971, 1977, and 1989, all of which were staged in Kuala Lumpur.
The Sukma Games is a biennial national multi-sport event involving young athletes from Malaysia's 13 states and 3 Federal Territories. The games are regulated by the National Sports Council of Malaysia, the state sports council of the respective member states, the Olympic Council of Malaysia and the National Sports association of the games respective sporting event. The logo was designed by Anuar bin Dan in 1986.
Lindswell, also known as Lindswell Kwok is an Indonesian former wushu taolu athlete specializing in taijiquan. She is one of the most renowned wushu athletes of all time. In 2013, she was named Best Athlete by the Indonesian Olympic Committee, and received the Dharma Sports Medal, the highest sports award in Indonesia. For her achievements, Indonesian media dubbed her as the "queen of wushu".

Zheng Tianhui is a retired professional wushu taolu athlete from Hong Kong. She is a ten-time medalist at the World Wushu Championships and a three-time world champion. She also won a silver medal at the 2010 Asian Games.

Seo Hee-ju is a retired wushu taolu athlete from South Korea. She was a two-time world champion and medalist at the World Games and the Asian Games.
Hoàng Thị Phương Giang is a wushu taolu athlete from Vietnam. She made her international debut with a bronze medal victory at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games. Her most notable victories include a bronze medal in women's changquan at the 2018 Asian Games, and gold medals in the 2013 and 2017 Southeast Asian Games. Hoàng is also a five-time medalist in the World Wushu Championships, double bronze medalist in the Taolu World Cup, and double silver medalist in the Asian Wushu Championships.
The 2008 Asian Wushu Championships was the 7th edition of the Asian Wushu Championships. It was held at the Tap Seac Multi-sports Pavilion in Macau, China from May 13-16, 2008.
The 2000 Asian Wushu Championships was the 5th edition of the Asian Wushu Championships. It was held at the Hanoi Indoor Games Gymnasium in Hanoi, Vietnam from October 31 to November 4, 2000. This competition reintroduced all-around categories but separately for changquan, nanquan, and taijiquan. A compulsory taijiquan event for athletes over 50 years-old was also added.
