The 2019 World Wushu Championships was the 15th edition of the World Wushu Championships. [1] [2] It was held at the Minhang Gymnasium in Shanghai, China from October 20 to October 23, 2019.

The 2007 World Wushu Championships was the 9th edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Beijing, China from November 11 to November 17, 2007. Nearly 1,000 athletes from 89 IWUF national federations participated in the event. The competition also acted as a qualifier for the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament and the 2009 World Games.
The 2003 World Wushu Championships was the 7th edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held at the Indoor Stadium of the Macau Polytechnic Institute in Macau, China from November 3 to November 7, 2003. 411 athletes from 59 IWUF national federations participated in this event. This is the first edition where women's sanshou was added.
The 2013 World Wushu Championships was the 12th edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 1 to November 5, 2013.
Ng Shin Yii was a Malaysian wushu athlete. She retired at age 27 from international wushu after competing at the World Taijiquan Championships in Poland. She competed in the Taijiquan and Taijijian taolu events. Up until her retirement in 2016, she had represented Malaysia in every World Wushu Championships since 2009, winning one silver and one bronze in the 2009 and 2015 Championships respectively. She competed in the first two World Taijiquan Championships in Dujiangyan and Warsaw achieving three silver medals. At the age of 17, she won a bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
The 1991 World Wushu Championships was the 1st edition of the World Wushu Championships. It was held in Beijing, China from October 12 to October 16, 1991. This was the first international competition held and organized by the International Wushu Federation.
