The 2019 IFMA World Muaythai Championships is the 18th edition of the IFMA World Muaythai Championships. The competition are held from July 18 to July 28, 2019, in Bangkok, Thailand. [1] The event served as a qualifier for the 2021 World Games in Birmingham, United States, with each men's and women's team that made the quarter-finals earning points for the qualification. [2]
Russia was initially awarded rights to host this edition, but Thailand negotiated to host this edition instead due to celebrating Coronation of King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand. It was the first world championships after International Olympic Committee (IOC) fully recognized International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) in the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) in February 2019.

Artem Valeryevich Levin, also known as Artem "The Lion" Levin, is a Russian middleweight Muay Thai kickboxer fighting out of Prokopyevsk.
Andrei "Bullet" Kulebin is a Belarusian Muay Thai welterweight kickboxer fighting out of Minsk, Belarus for Gym "Kick Fighter". He is an 18 time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion who has won international titles both at amateur and professional level from 51 kg to 67 kg and is considered one of the top pound for pound Muay Thai fighters outside of Thailand. In 2007 he was the first Muay Thai fighter in Belarus to be awarded the "Honored Master of Sport" by the countries president.
Tsotne Badrievich Rogava is a Ukrainian heavyweight Muay Thai kickboxer, fighting out of the Captain Odessa gym in Odessa. He is the current ACB Kickboxing Heavyweight champion and the 2012 Tatneft Arena World Cup winner.
The International Federation of Muaythai Associations, or IFMA, called the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur until 27 July 2019, is the sole recognised sport governing body of amateur and professional Muay Thai and Muay boran consisting of 140 member countries worldwide with 5 continental federations after unification of International Federation of Muaythai Amateur and World Muaythai Council. IFMA is officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF), the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) International World Games Association (IWGA), and Trim and Fitness International Sport for All Association (TAFISA). Muaythai has been included in many official sport programs such as the World Games, World Combat Games, Arafura Games, TAFISA Games, SEA Games, Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Asian Beach Games, Demonstration Sport in the Asian Games.
Mathias Gallo Cassarino also known as Mathias 7MuayThaigym, is an Italian Muay Thai fighter who is the former WPMF World Champion 135 lbs, WBC International Champion 135 lbs, and WMC "Muay Thai Against Drugs" Champion, Max Muay Thai 62 kg Silver Tournament Champion. October 2019 ranked number 2 at Lumpinee 140 lb. division
Sofia Olofsson is a Swedish female professional kickboxer, Muay Thai fighter. On 25 November 2016, at the Rumble of the Kings 15: Awakening, in Stockholm, Sweden, she defeated Parita Nongprai Padpho on TKO for the World Muaythai Council bantam weight world title. On 25 November 2017, at the Rumble of the Kings 18: Uprising, in Gothenburg, Sweden, she successfully defended her world title against Iman Barlow.

The muaythai tournaments at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, United States were held from 15 to 17 July 2022 at the Boutwell Memorial Auditorium. Originally scheduled to take place in 2021, the Games were rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the second time of muaythai including in the World Games.
