The 2017–18 Maio Island League season was the 27th of the competition of the football competition in the island of Maio, Cape Verde and the third of the second and third tier football competitions. [1] Its started on December 16, 2017 and finished on April 1, 2018. The championships were organized by the Maio Regional Football Association (Associação Regional do Maio de Futebol, ARMF). [2] All matches were played at Estádio 20 de Janeiro. Barreirense FC won their third title and finished with a club record of 34 points. Barreirense will qualify for both the regional Super Cup and the second Champion's Cup at the end of the season. After Beira-Mar, Santana de Morrinho is recent of the original seven that will be relegated to the Second Division next season as they finished last place, they did not even played their final match of the season.

Onze Unidos was the defending team of the title. For the first time, a total of eight clubs participated in the competition and no bye weeks for each club. It was the third season that the Second Division and another in two years with four clubs. Figueirense won the Second Division title and will become the tenth and recent club to compete in the following season of the Premier Division.

CD Onze Unidos

Clube Desportivo Onze Unidos is a football club that had played in the Premier division and plays in the Maio Island League in Cape Verde. It is based in the island of Maio Island. Since the implementation of the Second Division in 2015, Since the implementation of the Second Division in 2015, Onze Unidos are one of five unrelegated clubs of Maio.

The Second Division started a day before the Premier Division on December 17 and finished on February 25, later than last season.

Académico 83 scored the most number of goals of the season numbering 42, second was Barreirense with 35, third was 25 shared with two clubs, Onze Unidos and Morrerense. The least was 14 goals with Académica da Calheta. On the opposites, Santana de Morrinho conceded the most with 38, second least was fourth placed Morrerense with 33 and third was Real Marítimo with 30. The least conceded goals were 14 and were Barreirense and Académico 83.

The championships were organized by the Boa Vista Regional Football Association. Sport Sal Rei Club won the 10th title, it was also the club's second straight, Sal Rei qualified into the 2017 Cape Verdean Football Championships and placed in Group C.

The 2017 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 38th beginner level competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. It started on 13 May and finished on 27 August, it started a days later than last season. Originally to finish on 15 July, instead, it was rescheduled to 27 August. The championship was governed by the Cape Verdean Football Federation.

The 2017–18 Santo Antão North Premier Division season was the 30th/31st competition of football and sixth of the Premier Division that took place in the northern part of the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde. Its started later on December 9 and finished on 25 March, the season finished the earliest of any of the country's island leagues. The tournament was organized by the Santo Antão North Regional Football Association. Os Foguetões won their second championship title, their next in nine years and finished with 22 points, later they are currently participating in the 2018 Cape Verdean Football Championships on April 7, it was also be the second that had three groups each and Os Foguetões was placed in Group B The scheduling were made in September. It's confirmed that the coming season has allowed the use of bullets in post-nominator matches, while it was appreciated giving a beta-type-consulting-consumer it was not satisfied with its overall outcome of disease pickers, in national areas.

The championships were organized by the Boa Vista Regional Football Association.
