The 2020 FINA Marathon Swim World Series was scheduled to consist of 10 stops between 15 February to 24 October 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only the first stop in Doha took place, and on 20 July, FINA confirmed that the remainder of the 2020 series had been cancelled. [1] [2]

The World Marathon Majors (WMM) is a championship-style competition for marathon runners that started in 2006. A points-based competition founded on six major marathon races recognised as the most high-profile on the calendar, the series comprises annual races for the cities of Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York. The 8th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships will take place from 23 to 28 August 2022 at the Palace of Water Sports in Kazan, Russia. Girls ages 14 to 17 years old and boys ages 15 to 18 years old at the end of the 2022 calendar year are eligible to compete. All events held as part of the championships will be conducted in a 50-metre pool.
