Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT is a World Rally Championship (WRC) team based in Finland that serves as Toyota's official factory team. Its team principal is four time World Drivers' Champion Tommi Mäkinen. The team made its début during the 2017 season, where it entered the Toyota Yaris WRC. The team is a separate entity from the Toyota Gazoo Racing team led by Toyota Motorsport GmbH that competes in the World Endurance Championship.

The 2018 event was based in Coffs Harbour in New South Wales and consisted of twenty-four special stages. The rally covered a total competitive distance of a 316.30 km and an additional 698.91 km in transport stages.

The rally covered a total competitive distance of 238.84 km (148.41 mi).
