The 2022 Sukma Games (Malay : Sukan Malaysia 2022), officially known as the 20th Sukma Games (Malay : Sukan Malaysia ke-20) and commonly known as MSN 2022, was a multi-sport event that was held in Kuala Lumpur from 16 September until 24 September 2022. [1] The Games were originally scheduled to be held in Johor in July 2020. However, they were postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the National Sports Council (NSC) replacing Johor as host. [2] [3]

The 1998 Commonwealth Games(Malay: Sukan Komanwel 1998), officially known as the XVI Commonwealth Games(Malay: Sukan Komanwel ke-16), was a multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This edition is marked by several unprecedented facts in the history of the event. The 1998 games were the first held in an Asian country and the last Commonwealth Games of the 20th century. This was also the first time the games took place in a nation with a head of state other than the Head of the Commonwealth, and the first time the games were held in a country whose majority of the population did not have English as the first language. For the first time ever, the games included team sports. The other bid from the 1998 games came from Adelaide in Australia. Malaysia was the eighth nation to host the Commonwealth Games after Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Wales, Jamaica and Scotland. Around 3638 athletes from 70 Commonwealth member nations participated at the games which featured 214 events in 15 sports with 34 of them collected medals.

Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi is a Malaysian legal scholar and professor of law at the University of Malaya, currently holding the Tunku Abdul Rahman Chair as Professor of Constitutional Law. He is also the fourth holder of the Tun Hussein Onn Chair in International Studies at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia effective July 2019 to June 2021. Abdul Kadir Yusof was a Malaysian politician. A lawyer by profession, Abdul Kadir held the posts of Attorney General and Solicitor-General at various points during his lifetime. He was also the Minister of Law. Together with his wife Fatimah Hashim, former Welfare Minister, Abdul Kadir represented one half of the first couple to be on the Malaysian cabinet.

The Sukma Games is a biennial national multi-sport event involving young athletes from Malaysian 13 member states and the Federal territory. The games is regulated by the National Sports Council of Malaysia, the state sports council of the respective member states, the Olympic Council of Malaysia and the National Sports association of the games respective sporting event. The designer of this logo was Mr. Anuar bin Dan in 1986.

It was also decided that the odd year Sukma Games featured only optional sports while the even year Sukma Games featured 19 core sports and 5 optional sports.

The 2006 Sukma Games, officially known as the 11th Sukma Games was a Malaysian multi-sport event held in Kedah from 28 May to 4 June 2006. Negeri Sembilan weightlifter Zulkifli Che Rose and Negeri Sembilan swimmer Lew Yih Wey were announced as Best Sportsman and Best Sportswoman of the event respectively.

Najwan Halimi is a Malaysian politician currently serving as a member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Kota Anggerik. He is also the current Shah Alam Parti Keadilan Rakyat deputy chief and was former chief of Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat Youth wing. Najwan is one of the defence witness called by the Malaysian High Court in Anwar Ibrahim's second sodomy trial.
