The girls' singles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best girls' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong.^[1] The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.^[2] The defending champion was Pitchamon Opatniputh from Thailand.^[3] Competing as second seed, Opatniputh was upset by Yin Yiqing of China in the fourth round.

The BWF World Junior Championships, also known as the World Junior Badminton Championships, is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation to crown the best junior badminton players (U-19) in the world. The championship is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championship followed by an individual championship.

Akane Yamaguchi is a Japanese badminton player. She was a two-time world champion who won gold medals in the women's singles at the 2021 and 2022 World Championships. She was the girls' singles champion at the 2017 World Junior Championships. Tunjung also captained the Indonesia women's team at the 2022 Asia Team Championships, where they emerged champions.

He Bingjiao is a Chinese badminton player. She won the silver medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics and 2019 Asian Championships. She also won the bronze medals at the 2018 and 2021 World Championships, 2017 and 2024 Asian Championships as well at the 2022 Asian Games. She was part of the Chinese winning team at the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup, 2020 and 2024 Uber Cup, and also at the 2016 Asia Team Championships. In addition, she was the gold medalists in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.

Chae Yoo-jung is a South Korean badminton player who affiliated with Incheon International Airport team. She is the daughter of former singles player Kim Bok-sun. She won the mixed doubles title at the 2023 World Championships. Chae was a part of the Korean national team that won the world mixed team championships at the 2017 Sudirman Cup.

Mia Blichfeldt is a Danish badminton player. She won the gold medals at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the girls' singles event, and later at the 2019 Minsk European Games in the women's singles event.

Yeo Jia Min is a Singaporean badminton player. She is a former World Junior No.1 and the first Singaporean in either the junior or senior categories to made it to the top of the BWF's ranking system.

Chen Yufei is a Chinese badminton player. She won the gold medal in Badminton singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In her junior career, she won the girls' singles titles at the 2016 Asian and the World Junior Championships. At the same year, Chen clinched her first senior title at the Macau Open. She won a bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships and was awarded as the Eddy Choong Most Promising Player of the Year in 2017. On 17 December 2019, she reached a career-high BWF World Ranking as world number 1, and finished the year as the year-end no.1. Other achievements include winning the World Tour Finals in 2019 and silver medals at the 2022 World Championships and Asian Games.

Kunlavut Vitidsarn is a Thai badminton player. He is the current men's singles World Champion as he won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, and a silver medalist at the 2024 Olympic Games. He was also three-times World Junior champion, winning in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is nicknamed the "Three-Game God" because his playing style requires him to play three games long and always win in the end.

Gao Fangjie is a Chinese badminton player from Nanjing, Jiangsu. She was part of the Chinese junior team to win the gold medals at the 2015, and 2016 World Junior; and also at the 2016 Asia Junior Championships. In 2016 Asia, she won the bronze medal in the girls' singles event. Gao was the runner-up in the senior tournament at the 2016 China International. In 2017, she reached the final round at the BWF Superseries Premier tournament at the China Open after competing from the qualification round, and beat the seeded players Nozomi Okuhara, P. V. Sindhu and Carolina Marín. In 2023, she helped the national team win the Asia Mixed Team Championships.

Han Yue is a Chinese badminton player. She won the girls' singles title at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships, and the mixed team title at the World Junior Championships. Han was a part of the national team that won the 2019 Tong Yun Kai Cup. Her best achievements in an individual event were becoming the champion at the BWF World Tour Super 300 2018 Syed Modi International and the 2022 Hylo Open.

Wang Zhiyi is a Chinese badminton player from Shashi, Jingzhou, in Hubei province. She was two-time Asian Champions winning the title in 2022 and 2024. She was part of China winning team in the 2020 and 2024 Uber Cup, as well at the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup.

Li Shifeng is a Chinese badminton player. He was a gold medalist in the men's singles at the 2022 Asian Games. He was part of China winning team at the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup; 2022 Asian Games, and also at the 2024 Thomas Cup. Li reached a career high as world number 3 in the BWF World rankings on 31 October 2023.

An Se-young is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju, who won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. She was named 2019’s Most Promising Player of the Year and 2023's Female Player of the Year by the BWF. She won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, making history as the first Korean women's singles player to win the World Championships title. She then clinched the women's singles gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. An was also a part of South Korea’s gold medal winning teams at the 2022 Uber Cup and at the 2022 Asian Games.

Riko Gunji is a Japanese badminton player. She is the gold medalist at the 2019 BWF World Junior Championships in the girls' singles.

Pitchamon Opatniputh is a Thai badminton player. She started playing badminton at the age of five and was trained by her father at the Thai Smile Badminton Club. She won the girls' singles title at the 2023 World Junior Championships.

The boys' singles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best boys' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The winner of the last edition was Alwi Farhan of Indonesia.

The mixed doubles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best mixed doubles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The winner of the last edition was Liao Pinyi and Zhang Jiahan from China, but Liao Pinyi was not eligible to participate this year.

The boys' doubles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best boys' doubles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The winner of the last edition was Ma Shang and Zhu Yijun from China.
