The 93rd Emperor's Cup (第93回天皇杯全日本サッカー選手権大会) is the regular edition of the annual Japanese national cup tournament. It started on 31 August 2013 and ended on 1 January 2014 with the final at National Stadium in Tokyo.

The 95th Emperor's Cup (第95回天皇杯全日本サッカー選手権大会) was the regular edition of the annual Japanese national cup tournament, which was held from 29 August 2015 to its final on 1 January 2016.

The 2019 Emperor's Cup was the 99th edition of the annual Japanese national football cup tournament. The tournament began on 25 May and ended with the final on 1 January 2020. The final was the first event held at the National Stadium after its rebuilding.

The 2021 J.League Cup, known as the 2021 J.League YBC Levain Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 29th edition of J.League Cup, a Japanese association football cup competition. It began on 2 March 2021 and ended on 30 October that year.

The 2022 Yokohama F. Marinos season was the club's 50th season in existence and the 40th consecutive season in the top flight of Japanese football. In addition to the domestic league, Yokohama F. Marinos participated in this season's editions of the Emperor's Cup, the J.League Cup and the AFC Champions League.

The 2023 J.League Cup, known as the 2023 J.League YBC Levain Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st edition of J.League Cup, a Japanese association football cup competition. Unlike previous editions, the competition did not use the away goals rule. No byes awarded for the knockout stage and thus no knockout round playoffs.

The 2024 Japan Club Youth U-18 Football Championship was the 48th edition of the contested tournament, held exclusively for Japan youth clubs affiliated with both J.League and Japan Club Youth Football Federation. Gamba Osaka defended their title, winning it consecutively on 2023 and 2024.

The 2024 season is the 27th season in the history of Sagan Tosu. They will be participating in the J1 League, Emperor's Cup as well as the J.League Cup. This will be coach Kenta Kawai's third season at the helm of the team.

The 2025 Gamba Osaka season was the club's 45th season in existence and the twelveth consecutive season in the top flight of Japanese football. Having finished 4th in the 2024 J.League 1, they qualify for the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Two.
