Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu , who is known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing "Like to Party", the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Atlantic Records in the United States to release his third studio album, Outside (2018).

Getachew Kassa was an Ethiopian singer and percussionist. He was famous at the height of 1960s and 1970s after hiring to the country's famous clubs, the Sombrino and Axum Hall, which made him eligible to professional skills.

Afrobeats is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.

Kamuzu Kassa is an Ethiopian composer, songwriter and producer. Kamuzu started his career composing spiritual songs, but when he composed music for Kako Getachew in 2007 he joined the secular world of music and became a public figure. Following this, Kamuzu composed music for Ethiopian artists Hamelmal Abate, Surafel Abebe, Jalud Awol, and many others.

Udoma Peter Kelvin Amba popularly known by his trademark It's Kel-P Vibes is a Nigerian record producer, singer and songwriter. He is the founder and the CEO of Bully Entertainment, and is currently signed to Universal Music Publishing France, Universal Music France, and Virgin Music France, with a management deal with Jones Worldwide. He was formerly signed to Aristokrat from 2019 to 2023, and is best known for exclusively producing and co-writing the Grammy nominated world album African Giant in 2019.

Tyla Laura Seethal, known mononymously as Tyla, is a South African singer and songwriter. She has been dubbed the "Queen of Popiano", a fusion of the pop and amapiano genres.

<i>Tyla</i> (album) 2024 studio album by Tyla

Tyla is the debut studio album by South African singer Tyla. It was released on 22 March 2024 through Fax, and Epic Records. Capitalizing on her international breakthrough with its lead single "Water", the album features guest appearances from Kelvin Momo, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, Becky G, and Travis Scott. Sonically, it blends elements of amapiano, pop, afrobeats, and contemporary R&B and includes lyrical themes of empowerment and relationships.

"Truth or Dare" is a song by South African singer Tyla from her 2024 self-titled debut studio album. It was released through Fax and Epic Records as a promotional single alongside two other songs on 1 December 2023, before impacting rhythmic contemporary radio in the United States on 13 February 2024 as the album's second single.

Hasna El-Bacharia was an Algerian singer and multi-instrumentalist who specialized in diwan music and playing the sintir.
