Lee John Thomas Starck, better known by his stage name Leeroy Stagger, is a Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter based in Victoria, British Columbia. He has released a number of albums of his own music, produced albums for several other musicians including Mariel Buckley, Tim Easton, Dennis Ellsworth and has toured around North America and Europe with Artists such as Steve Earle, Josh Ritter, Buffy Sainte Marie and Frazey Ford, The Pixies, Modest Mouse and Evan Dando, and has collaborated with Danny Michel.

Mother Mother is a Canadian indie rock band based on Quadra Island, British Columbia. The band consists of Ryan Guldemond on guitar and vocals, Molly Guldemond and Jasmin Parkin on vocals and keyboard, Ali Siadat on drums, and Mike Young on bass. Longtime bassist Jeremy Page left the band in 2016.

<i>Supermarket</i> (Logic album) 2019 soundtrack album by Logic

Supermarket is a soundtrack album by American rapper Logic. It was released on March 26, 2019, by Def Jam Recordings and Visionary Music Group. The soundtrack serves as a tie-in for his novel of the same name. The soundtrack was released to negative reviews by music critics, and it peaked at number 56 on the Billboard 200.

Tim Baker is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The longtime lead singer of the indie rock band Hey Rosetta!, his first solo album Forever Overhead was released on April 19, 2019, on Arts & Crafts.

Celeigh Cardinal is a Canadian folk singer-songwriter from Alberta. She is most noted for her 2019 album Stories from a Downtown Apartment, which won the Juno Award for Indigenous Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2020. On June 25, 2020, the album also earned Cardinal two Western Canadian Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year and Indigenous Artist of the Year.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Corridor (band)</span> Canadian indie rock band

Corridor is a Canadian indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, consisting of vocalist and bassist Dominic Berthiaume, guitarist Julian Perreault, guitarist and vocalist Jonathan Robert and drummer Julien Bakvis, with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Samuel Gougoux in live performances. The first francophone band ever signed to the influential indie label Sub Pop, they are most noted for their 2019 album Junior, which was a longlisted nominee for the 2020 Polaris Music Prize.

The Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album of the Year is an annual music award, presented by the Canadian Folk Music Awards to honour the best albums in contemporary folk music by Canadian artists.

The Canadian Folk Music Award for French Songwriter of the Year is a Canadian award, presented as part of the Canadian Folk Music Awards to honour the year's best French-language songwriting. Unlike many songwriting awards, the nomination is given in consideration of all of the songwriting on a whole album rather than singling out individual songs. Awards are also presented for English Songwriter of the Year and Indigenous Songwriter of the Year.

Aleksi Campagne is a Canadian singer-songwriter, who won the Canadian Folk Music Award for French Songwriter of the Year at the 19th Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2024 for his album For the Giving / Sans rien donner.
