The Cabinet of Kuwait is the chief executive body of the State of Kuwait. The following cabinet is the 37th in the history of Kuwait, after the previous cabinet resigned on 6 December 2020. [1] On 8 December 2020, Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah assigned Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister . The Amir has also assigned the Prime Minister to refer the cabinet line-up for their appointment. [2] [3] On 14 December, the Prime Minister formed the new cabinet and the Amir issued a decree on the formation of the government. The new cabinet includes seven newcomers, three former ministers and six member including the premier himself from the previous cabinet. [4] [5] [6] On 12 January 2021, the Ministers of the Cabinet tendered in their resignations to the Prime Minister. [7] On 13 January 2021, the Prime Minister submitted the government's resignation to the Amir. [8] On 18 January 2021, the Amir accepted the resignation of the Prime Minister and his government. [9] The cabinet will be proceeding in a care taking manner until the formation of the new cabinet.

The House of Sabah is the ruling family of Kuwait.
Nasser Al-Mohammed Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is a Kuwaiti politician who served as Prime Minister of Kuwait from 7 February 2006 until resigning on 28 November 2011.
Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah is a Kuwaiti royal and politician who served as the prime minister of Kuwait from 2011 to 2019. He previously served as minister of defense as well as deputy prime minister. In April 2021 a Kuwaiti court ordered his detention on corruption charges.
Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was the Emir of Kuwait from 29 January 2006 until his death in 2020.

On 5 October 2022, Amir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah assigned His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister to assign what was, the 41st Cabinet of Kuwait. But due to strong backlash from MPs and citizens about some of the recurring ministers returning, on 6 October 2022, the Prime Minister tendered a letter of governmental resignation to the Crown Prince a day after its formation, making it the shortest-lived government in Kuwaiti history. The Prime Minister has launched consultations with the members of The National Assembly aimed at advancing consensus on forming the new government. Some MPs called this step a heroic action and that this shows that the Prime Minister is "a man of the country and the ally of the people". On 16 October 2022, 16 days after the formation of the 41st cabinet, the 42nd cabinet was announced to the public.
Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah is a Kuwaiti diplomat and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Kuwait from 2019 to 2022. he served in different governmental posts from 2006 until 2019. He is a senior member of the ruling Al Sabah family.
Khaled Al Jarrah Al Sabah is a Kuwaiti lieutenant general, who retired from military services after being appointed as minister of defense to succeed retired Lt General Sheikh Ahmed Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah in the post. He was deputy prime minister and minister of defense from 4 August 2013 to 11 December 2017. He also served as deputy prime minister and minister of interior from 11 December 2017 to 18 November 2019. He is a member of the ruling family of Kuwait, Al Sabah. In March 2021, the Kuwaiti ministerial court ordered his arrest and imprisonment, on charges of corruption.
