Alberto G. Musalem is an American economist and banker who is the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He assumed office on 2 April 2024. [1]
He graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc and Msc in economics,and from the University of Pennsylvania with a PhD in economics in 1996. [2]
Musalem is married to his wife Claudia Pinto,with whom he has three children.

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) is a committee within the Federal Reserve System that is charged under United States law with overseeing the nation's open market operations. This Federal Reserve committee makes key decisions about interest rates and the growth of the United States money supply.
