Alizeh Agnihotri (born 27 October 1996) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. Born into the Khan family, she is the daughter of actor Atul Agnihotri and producer Alvira Khan Agnihotri. She made her acting debut as a child, appearing in Hello (2008), directed by her father. [2] As an adult, she played the lead role in the 2023 film Farrey , for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. [3]

Early life

Alizeh Agnihotri was born in Mumbai on 27 October 1996 to actor, producer and director Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan. [2] She is the younger child to the couple and has an elder brother named Ayaan Agnihotri. [4] [ better source needed ]

Agnihotri pursued her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and completed her Undergraduate degree at SOAS University of London. She has a B.A. in Developmental Studies and Graduated in 2018. [5]

Career

Agnihotri made her acting debut as a child in her father Atul Agnihotri directorial film Hello . [6] In 2023, she made her official debut with film Farrey . The movie was premiered at 54th International Film Festival of India and it was released theatrically, on 24 November 2023.[ citation needed ] Alaka Sahani of The Indian Express gave 3 stars out of 5 and praised Agnihotri's performance and said "it is Agnihotri, whose intelligence as well as ambition is at the centre of Farrey, holds the story together and keeps her character relatable. She also deftly portrays Niyati’s transitions at different stages of the movie." [7] For her performance in the film, she won various of Accolades including Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. [3]

In 2024, Alizeh was placed in the "35 most influential young Indians" list by GQ. [8] and was featured on various magazine covers including Hello! , The Word , and Grazia .[ citation needed ] Agnihotri is also a celebrity endorser for several brands and products, including Being Human Clothing, Tory Burch LLC, and Nykaa. [9]
