Alsodes tumultuosus is a species of frog in the family Alsodidae. It is endemic to Farellones in central Chile. Its natural habitats are temperate grassland and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss. [1]

The two were originally described as separate species, are morphologically distinctive, and there is no evidence of intergradation, but this in itself is not remarkable, as their distributions are separated by a gap of approx. 150 km.
