Andy "Frank" Wright is an Australian supervising sound editor. He is known for his work on the war-drama film Hacksaw Ridge directed by Mel Gibson, for which he received two Academy Award nominations at the 89th Academy Awards, [1] [2] Best Sound Editing [3] and winning Best Sound Mixing (both shared with Robert Mackenzie). The Academy Award for Best Picture is one of the Academy Awards presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) since the awards debuted in 1929. This award goes to the producers of the film and is the only category in which every member of the Academy is eligible to submit a nomination and vote on the final ballot. The Best Picture category is traditionally the final award of the night and is widely considered as the most prestigious honor of the ceremony.
The Academy Award for Best Film Editing is one of the annual awards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Nominations for this award are closely correlated with the Academy Award for Best Picture. For 33 consecutive years, 1981 to 2013, every Best Picture winner had also been nominated for the Film Editing Oscar, and about two thirds of the Best Picture winners have also won for Film Editing. Only the principal, "above the line" editor(s) as listed in the film's credits are named on the award; additional editors, supervising editors, etc. are not currently eligible.
The Academy Award for Best Sound is an Academy Award that recognizes the finest or most euphonic sound mixing, recording, sound design, and sound editing. The award used to go to the studio sound departments until a rule change in 1969 said it should be awarded to the specific technicians. The first were Murray Spivack and Jack Solomon for Hello, Dolly!. It is generally awarded to the production sound mixers, re-recording mixers, and supervising sound editors of the winning film. In the lists below, the winner of the award for each year is shown first, followed by the other nominees. Before the 93rd Academy Awards, Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing were separate categories.
Kevin O'Connell is a sound re-recording mixer. He held the record for most Academy Award nominations without a win at 20, until he finally won his first Academy Award for Hacksaw Ridge (2016) at the 89th Academy Awards in 2017.
Michael Minkler is a motion picture sound re-recording mixer. He has received Academy Awards for his work on Dreamgirls, Chicago and Black Hawk Down. His varied career has also included films like Inglourious Basterds, JFK and Star Wars, as well as television programs like The Pacific and John Adams. Minkler works at Todd-AO Hollywood. Greg P. Russell is an American sound engineer. He has worked on more than 200 films since 1970, and has received 16 Academy Award nominations for Best Sound Mixing, although he has never won. Russell has also been nominated for 11 Cinema Audio Society awards, two BAFTA's and two Emmys, with one Daytime Emmy Award win occurring in 1989 for Outstanding Film Sound Mixing for his work on Muppet Babies.
Christopher Boyes is an American sound engineer. He has won four Academy Awards and has been nominated for another eleven. He has worked on more than 100 films since 1991.

Mark Mangini is an American sound editor with over 125 film credits. He has won two Academy Awards, 2021 for Dune and the 2015 Academy Award for Best Sound Editing along with David White for their work on Mad Max: Fury Road.
The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honored the best films of 2016, and took place on February 26, 2017, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, at 5:30 p.m. PST. During the ceremony, AMPAS presented Academy Awards in 24 categories. The ceremony, televised in the United States by ABC, was produced by Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd and directed by Glenn Weiss. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony for the first time.

In 2020, he received his second Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects for The Lion King (2019).

He is best known for his work on Animal Kingdom (2010), The Hunter (2011), Lore (2012), Felony (2013), The Grandmaster (2013), The Rover (2014), Deadline Gallipoli (2015), Partisan (2015), Lion, and critically acclaimed war-drama film Hacksaw Ridge, for which he received two Academy Award nominations at the 89th Academy Awards, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing (both shared with Andy Wright).

Morrow has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Sound or Best Achievement in Sound Mixing a total of three times for his work on La La Land, A Star is Born, and Ford v Ferrari. He has been nominated for three BAFTA Film Awards for Best Sound for La La Land, A Star is Born, and Ford v Ferrari.
Mildred Iatrou Morgan is an American sound editor and audio engineer. She is of Greek descent.
Renée Tondelli is a supervising sound editor, she is best known for her works on films such as The Passion of the Christ (2004), Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), Django Unchained (2012), Lone Survivor (2013), American Hustle (2013), Into the Woods (2014), and Deepwater Horizon (2016) for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing at the 89th Academy Awards.
Bernard Gariépy Strobl is a Canadian re-recording sound mixer, best known internationally as the supervising re-recording mixer of Arrival (2016), for which he won the BAFTA Award for Best Sound and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing. He has been a re-recording mixer on many prominent Quebec films of the last two decades, including The Red Violin (1998), C.R.A.Z.Y. (2005), Monsieur Lazhar (2011), War Witch (2012), Gabrielle (2013), and Endorphine (2015).
