The Black Rock Desert is a semi-arid region of lava beds and playa, or alkali flats, situated in the Black Rock Desert–High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area, a silt playa 100 miles (160 km) north of Reno, Nevada that encompasses more than 300,000 acres (120,000 ha) of land and contains more than 120 miles (200 km) of historic trails. It is in the northern Nevada section of the Great Basin with a lakebed that is a dry remnant of Pleistocene Lake Lahontan.
The Pah Rah Range is a mountain range located in western Nevada in Washoe County just to the northeast of Reno. It is a hook shaped range with the main eastern portion oriented northwest-southeast, approximately 20 miles (32 km) long. The northwest flowing Cottonwood Creek in Warm Springs Valley is bounded on three sides by the range. To the south and east the Truckee River forms the boundary and Pyramid Lake is at the northeast. Spanish Springs Valley north of Reno forms the southwest margin. To the north the narrow Mullen Pass separates the Pah Rah Range from the Virginia Mountains.

The Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) is one of two military training areas at the Nellis Air Force Base Complex in Nevada and used by the United States Air Force Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base. The NTTR land area includes a "simulated Integrated Air Defense System", several individual ranges with 1200 targets, and 4 remote communication sites. The current NTTR area and the range's former areas have been used for aerial gunnery and bombing, for nuclear tests, as a proving ground and flight test area, for aircraft control and warning, and for Blue Flag, Green Flag, and Red Flag exercises.

The New Pass Range is a mountain range in Lander and Churchill counties of Nevada. The range is a north-south trending range which straddles the Lander-Churchill county boundary for about 16 miles (26 km). The highest peak, New Pass Peak, has an elevation of 9,003 feet (2,744 m). US Route 50 crosses New Pass Summit on the south end of the range between Austin to the east and Fallon on to the west. The range was named from an early settler's belief that his route through the mountains was a "new pass" through the area.

A fourth valley of the same name Antelope Valley lies in southern Eureka County, east of the Monitor Range. The Antelope Valley of southwest Millard County, Utah, United States, is a small 25-mile (40 km) long valley, adjacent the Ferguson Desert and 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Sevier Lake. The valley is just east of the Nevada border, with Snake Valley and the Burbank Hills. The other Antelope Valley of Utah occurs 165 miles (266 km) east in the Great Basin, in southeast Emery County and extending into adjacent Wayne County.
Cactus Flat is one of the Central Nevada Desert Basins in the Cactus-Sacrobatus Watershed, for which it is an eponym. The flat is the location of the Tonopah Test Range Airport and Tonopah Test Range, a component of the Nevada Test and Training Range used for weapons testing since the 1950s. The flat is also the site of the 615 sq mi (1,590 km2) Nevada Wild Horse Range of the Nellis Air Force Range.
Antelope Peak is a summit in the U.S. state of Nevada. The elevation is 10,246 feet (3,123 m). The peak is in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
