The BRM P138 was a Formula One racing car designed by Len Terry which raced in the 1968 and 1969 Formula One seasons. It was powered by a 3.0-litre V12 engine.
The P138 raced twice in 1968 but retired from both races due to engine failure, with Mexican Pedro Rodríguez at round nine in Italy and American Bobby Unser at round eleven in the United States. [2] [3]
BRM finished the season in fifth place in the Constructors' Championship with twenty eight points, although all had been scored by the BRM P126 and BRM P133.
The first race of the 1969 season was the South African Grand Prix with John Surtees and Jackie Oliver driving, Surtees drove the P138 and Oliver in the BRM P133, Surtees retired from the race with engine failure. [4] Surtees finished fifth in Spain. [5] The Monaco Grand Prix saw Surtees retire with a broken gearbox due to him missing a gear and the Brabham of Jack Brabham crashing into the back of Surtees. [6] The Englishman finished ninth in Holland. [7] BRM skipped the French Grand Prix because of the team rebuilding, with Tony Rudd departing and the horrible start of the BRM P139. The P138 was not used in Britain because Surtees drove the P139 but the P138 reappeared at the German Grand Prix with Jackie Oliver driving but retired with an oil leak. [8] The P138 was not used in Italy because Oliver had a second P139 to drive but the P138 reappeared at the Canadian Grand Prix with Canadian Bill Brack driving but was ten laps down and not classified. [9] Brack was replaced by Canadian George Eaton but retired from the final two races of 1969, engine failure in the United States and a broken gearbox in Mexico. [10] [11]
BRM finished the season in fifth place in the Constructors' Championship with seven points for the second season running, although all but two had been scored by the BRM P133 and BRM P139.

The 1964 United States Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on October 4, 1964, at the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Race Course in Watkins Glen, New York. It was race 9 of 10 in both the 1964 World Championship of Drivers and the 1964 International Cup for Formula One Manufacturers. The 110-lap race was won by BRM driver Graham Hill after he started from fourth position. John Surtees finished second for the Ferrari team and Brabham driver Jo Siffert came in third.

The race was the "60th Anniversary race" of Grand Prix racing, which had started with the GP of France in 1906. It was also the 16th and last time the French Grand Prix was held on variations of French highways near Reims, following a three-year absence from the region. The race was held over 48 laps of the 8.35-kilometre (5.19 mi) circuit for a race distance of 400.694 kilometres (248.980 mi).

One of the main features of the P180 was that the radiators had moved to the rear of the car, allowing the nose of the car to be very wide and flat. It competed in five World Championship Grands Prix, with a total of seven individual entries. The car scored no World Championship points, its best finish being eighth at the 1972 Italian Grand Prix.

The BRM P139 was a Formula One racing car designed by Alec Osborn, based on the original P126/133/138 design by Len Terry, which raced during the 1969 and 1970 seasons. It was powered by a 3.0-litre V12 engine. The car was uncompetitive, which resulted in team boss Tony Rudd being asked to resign, with his position being taken over by Tony Southgate, Tim Parnell and Aubrey Woods. After the team did not attend the French Grand Prix, a redesigned P139 appeared at the British Grand Prix, with a roomier, more bulbous cockpit and additional strengthening, giving the P139 a cylindrical appearance. The revised car was barely an improvement on the original P139, and was replaced by the P153 for the 1970 season. The P139 made one final appearance, at the 1970 South African Grand Prix, driven by George Eaton, who was effectively paying for his drive, and thus did not receive a 'works' P153.

Design was contracted out to former Lotus and Eagle designer Len Terry and the three examples built were constructed by his Transatlantic Automotive Consultants company due to pressure of work at BRM.

The Fittipaldi FD was a series of Formula One chassis designed by Richard Divila and used by Fittipaldi Automotive in the 1975, 1976 and 1977 seasons.
