PT. Badar Televisi Media Perkasa (BRTV) (formerly Badar TV) is an Indonesian Islamic local private digital terrestrial television, located in North Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java. [1] The name of BRTV or Badar TV means that this television station is expected to accompany Indonesian families to achieve success in four aspects of life: religion, science, social, and culture. The programs of this television station consist of Islamic religious programs, local news and other entertainment. The slogan "Harmoni Kebersamaan" (English: "Harmony of Togetherness").

History

This television station was founded on 2009, and Official broadcast on October 18, 2019. [2] [3] initially broadcast analog on UHF channel 24. Its coverage reached Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), although its programming initially focused more on Bekasi-themed information. However, since June 15, 2016, Badar TV has also broadcast digitally by joining the channel TVRI Jakarta and Banten. [4] Gradually, the analog channel it used on 24 UHF was turned off, possibly because the channel would be used for digital broadcasts by other television stations. [3]

BRTV (PT. Badar Televisi Media Perkasa) is affiliated with the Annisa Group, which owns Radio Annisa and Annisa Hospital in Cikarang. [5]

Controversy

BRTV was victim of an assault by the Indonesian Army after the journalist's camera was confiscated and damaged by Indonesian Army. The attack was triggered by Brimob officers prohibition of Indonesian Army personnel from entering the local House of Representatives (DPR) building, which ultimately led to revenge. [6]
