BTV, formerly known as Q Channel, QTV and BeritaSatu (literally translated as NewsOne) is an Indonesian digital free-to-air television network owned by B Universe . 80% of the stake is owned by former Minister of Trade, Nasdem Party politician and businessman Enggartiasto Lukita. The channel is the first Indonesia-based pay television channel. It focused on news, sports and entertainment programming.[ citation needed ]

BTV was launched in 1998 as Q Channel (an abbreviation of Quick Channel) by PT Jaring Data Interaktif which was owned by one of RCTI and SCTV executives, Peter F. Gontha. The first program to be held was Q Inspiration. Much of the channel's programming is targeted towards Indonesian executives and the influential upper income segment of the society. Aimed at decision-makers, the channel mostly features talk shows and infotainment programs related to business, economy, politics, lifestyle, and entertainment.

On 15 September 2005, the channel was renamed to QTV. [2] On 1st of September 2011, QTV transformed into BeritaSatu, which became a news channel, similar to other major news channels in the country, namely Metro TV and tvOne. [3] [4]

In 2021, BeritaSatu was awarded a nationwide terrestrial license one year later.

On 11th of October 2022 at 09.53pm (UTC+7), BeritaSatu officially changed its name to BTV after the inauguration of the Investor Daily Summit 2022 by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

It debuted for the first time on the newly inaugurated RCTI on 15 November 1989 as the local news program Seputar Jakarta, as well as the network's first newscast before it evolved to go nationwide on 15 November 1990. Since the end of 2005, the program has regained its position as the most-watched newscast in the country, according to ratings by Nielsen Media Research. During its early years, Seputar Indonesia was also carried by RCTI's then sister network SCTV.

Buletin Malam, is the first newscast containing international stories ever produced by a private television network in Indonesia. it was launched on 1 February 1991 on RCTI, Buletin Malam which was then hosted by Helmi Johannes and Desi Anwar. The newscast is a half-hour pre-midnight news program and it continues to be one of the strongest late night shows in Indonesian television industry, Buletin Malam was also carried by RCTI's then sister network SCTV.

Nuansa Pagi is the first morning newscast ever produced by a private television network in Indonesia. Nuansa Pagi debuted on RCTI from 17 January 1993 to 24 August 1993 as Buletin Pagi before it evolved to go nationwide on 25 August 1993 as Nuansa Pagi and since then has become one of the strongest morning shows in the country, according to Nielsen Media Research. Nuansa Pagi was also carried by RCTI's then sister network SCTV (1993–1996).

PT Metropolitan Televisindo, operating as Rajawali Televisi is an Indonesian television broadcaster in Indonesia, owned by Rajawali Corpora. RTV is categorised as "family television", licensed via the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Its frequency is coordinated through the Department of Transportation.

tvOne with legal name PT Lativi Media Karya is an Indonesian free-to-air news television broadcaster based in East Jakarta. tvOne is owned by Visi Media Asia (Viva), a unit of the Bakrie Group.

PT Cipta Megaswara Televisi, operating as Kompas TV, is an Indonesian national terrestrial private news television broadcaster. It was launched on February 22, 2021, replacing GMA News TV on its flagship station, UHF Channel 27 Metro Manila and its provincial relay stations. It is a sixth overall secondary television brand of GMA Network since its inception in 1995 as Citynet Television. Klik Indonesia is an Indonesian flagship television news program broadcast by TVRI on its main channel. The newscast was first broadcast on August 3, 2020, slightly changing its name from the previous name Indonesia. The program airs in the morning, at noon, the evening and at midnight.
