SEA Today (abbreviation from Southeast Asia Today) is an 24-hour clock ASEAN/Southeast Asia-Indonesian English language international state media/public broadcasting news television channel targeting Southeast Asian audiences. [1] Owned by PT Metra Digital Media (MD Media) a subsidiary of the state-owned telecommunication company Telkom Indonesia, the channel was officially formal full launched took place on 28 October 2020 in conjunction with Youth Pledge Day at stroke of midnight local time. SEA Today currently airs through Indihome TV on Channel 101 (HD), First Media on Channel 416 (HD), MNC Vision on Channel 336, MNC Play on Channel 17 and MyRepublic on Channel 572 (HD) in Indonesia, StarHub TV on Channel 720 (HD) and Singtel TV on Channel 15 (HD) in Singapore and Astro on Channel 504 (HD), Astro NJOI on Channel 504 (HD) and Unifi TV on Channel 651 (HD) in Malaysia.

History

The channel was officially formal full launched took place on 28 October 2020 in conjunction with Youth Pledge Day at stroke of midnight local time. [2] SEA Today has transmitted into a SEA Today-owned Transponder Telkom-4 Communications satellite 108°2E 4111/H/5000 (MPEG-4) (HD) for all around Indonesia, Southeast Asian (ASEAN) and Asia–Pacific coverage after this officially launched programmes very first live telecast programme was breakfast programme SEA Morning Show via satellite transmission aired at 6:00am local time.

Digital terrestrial television in Indonesia (DVB-T2) started in 2009, and in most areas runs alongside the analogue TV system. The phase 1 of nationwide analog shutdown will be done in 166 regencies and cities, including Dumai, Banda Aceh, Batam, Tanjungpinang, Serang, Bali, Samarinda, Tanjung Selor, Tarakan, Makassar and Jayapura started from 30 April 2022 and it simplified in three stages. Analog broadcasting station in Jakarta along with 173 regencies/cities non-terrestrial services was officially signed off on 2 November 2022 at midnight. Batam, Bandung, Semarang, Surakarta and Yogyakarta followed on 2 December 2022, followed by Surabaya on 20 December 2022, Banjarmasin on 20 March 2023, Bali and Palembang on 31 March 2023, Makassar on 20 June 2023 and Medan on 30 July 2023. On 12 August 2023, the digital terrestrial television of Indonesia fully turned, shifted and switched to all high definition on all thirteen local free-to-air terrestrial television station.

NET is an Indonesian free-to-air private-owned television network that was launched on 26 May 2013. It replaced Spacetoon on terrestrial television. The channel's programming is focused towards family and young-adult viewers, with recent programs are geared for children and women audiences. NET airs 24-hours a day.
