Bashaw is a town in Washburn County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 921 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 33.9 square miles (87.8 km2), of which, 33.5 square miles (86.8 km2) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) of it (1.09%) is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 921 people, 339 households, and 267 families residing in the town. The population density was 27.5 people per square mile (10.6/km2). There were 387 housing units at an average density of 11.5 per square mile (4.5/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.15% White, 0.22% African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.43% Asian, and 1.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.43% of the population.
There were 339 households, out of which 34.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.5% were married couples living together, 3.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.2% were non-families. 17.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.10.
