Chicog is a town in Washburn County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 268 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 45.6 square miles (118.1 km2), of which, 43.6 square miles (112.8 km2) of it is land and 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) of it (4.43%) is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 268 people, 128 households, and 86 families residing in the town. The population density was 6.2 people per square mile (2.4/km2). There were 476 housing units at an average density of 10.9 per square mile (4.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.76% White, 1.12% Native American, 0.37% from other races, and 0.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.75% of the population.
There were 128 households, out of which 14.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.7% were married couples living together, 1.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.8% were non-families. 29.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.09 and the average family size was 2.52.
