Bolton South and Walkden is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. [1] Created as a result of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies. It was first contested at the 2024 general election. [2]

The Bolton Borough wards were formerly part of Bolton South East and the Salford City wards part of Worsley and Eccles South - with both constituencies abolished following the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies. [4]

Farnworth is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Bolton, 4 miles south-west of Bury (7 km), and 8 miles (12.9 km) northwest of Manchester.
Salford is a borough constituency in Greater Manchester represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. The borough constituency dated from 1997 and was abolished in 2010, replaced by Salford and Eccles.
