Bosnia and Herzegovina has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest four times since its debut in 2013. [1] The Bosnian broadcaster, Hayat TV, has been the organiser of the Bosnian entry since its debut in the contest. In 2013, the Bosnian entry, Ters Bosanka, qualified to the grand final, where they finished in sixth place with a score of 187 points.

History

Bosnia and Herzegovina made their debut in the Turkvision Song Contest at the 2013 contest, in Eskişehir, Turkey. [1] Hayat TV internally selected the band Emir & Frozen Camels to represent them on their debut. [2] On 19 November 2013 it was announced that the band would be singing "Ters Bosanka", the song features Mirza Šoljanin. [3] It was later announced in an interview that they would sing the Turkish version of the song at the contest called "Bosnali Kiz". [4] At the contest Bosnia and Herzegovina performed 5th in the semi-final and qualified for the final. In the final they performed fifth again and finished in sixth place with 187 points.

On 10 September 2014 Bosnia and Herzegovina were confirmed again as participating in the contest in Kazan, Tatarstan. [5] On 14 October 2014 Hayat TV confirmed that they had internally selected the singer Mensur Salkić to represent them in Kazan. [6] It was announced on 25 October that Mensur would sing "Šutim" at the contest. [7] In Kazan Bosnia and Herzegovina performed 16th in the final, they qualified for the final thirteenth place with 168 points. In the semi-final Bosnia & Herzegovina was shown as having received 171 points which was incorrect, this changed an eleventh-place finish into a tie with Yakutia and Bulgaria. [8] It was decided the day after the semi-final that the top 15 countries would qualify for the final. They performed twelfth in the final and finished tenth on a total of 176 points.

Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) have been responsible for the selection process of their participants, since their debut in 2013. Farid Hasanov was the first representative for Azerbaijan at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Yaşa", which qualified from the semifinals and won the contest, achieving two-hundred and ten points in the grand final. Azerbaijan continued to participate in the contest, and sent Elvin Ordubadli as their representative in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014, with the song "Divlərin yalnızlığı", which finished in ninth place, achieving 177 points in the grand final.

Bashkortostan has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest twice since its debut in 2013. The Bashkir broadcaster, Kuray Television (KTV),was the organiser of the Bashkir entry from 2013 to 2014, in 2015 Tugan Tel TV replaced Kuray Television. In 2013, Bashkortostan's first entry at Turkvision, Diana Ishniyazova, failed to qualify to the grand final.

The Turkvision Song Contest 2014 was the second edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Kazan in the region of Tatarstan. Twenty-four Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, confirmed their participation, making it the largest contest exceeding the participation number for the 2013 contest whereas four European countries made their debut. Altai Republic, Belarus, Kemerovo, Kosovo, and Northern Cyprus withdrew from the contest. The semi final took place on 19 November 2014 and the final took place on 21 November 2014. The presenters of the contest were Artem Shalimov, Narmin Agaeva, and Ranil Nuriov.

Xhoi Bejko was the first representative for Albania at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Hava ve Ates", which failed to qualify from the semi-finals, finishing in nineteenth place and achieving 154 points. Albania continued to participate in the contest, and sent Xhoi Bejko and Visar Rexhepi as their representatives in the Turkvision Song Contest 2015, with the song "Adi Hasret", which finished in eighth place, receiving the same total of points as in their previous participation.

Bulgaria has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest twice since their debut in the 2014 contest, held in Kazan, Tatarstan. Bulgarian broadcaster Alfa Media (AMTV) organised the Bulgarian entry in its debut year. In 2014, Bulgaria's first entry at Turkvision was İsmail Matev.

The Turkvision Song Contest 2015 was the third edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey; and organised by Turkish Music Box Television (TMB). A total of twenty-one Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, participated in the contest, as well as one Turkic ethnic groups who do not have a defined region. There was no semi-final this year, whilst the final took place on 19 December 2015.

Bashkortostan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. The Bashkir entry was selected through a national final organised by Bashkir broadcaster Kuray Television (KTV). Zaman won the national final and went on to represent Bashkortostan in the contest, qualifying from the semi-final and finishing in third place in the grand final with the song "Kubair".

Azerbaijan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 which took place in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Elvin Ordubadli won the national final, Azərbaycan`ın Sesi, on 21 September with the song "Divlərin yalnızlığı", earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. Azerbaijan placed 9th with 177 points.

The Turkvision Song Contest 2020 was the fourth edition of the Turkvision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, with performances filmed remotely, and organised by Turkish Music Box Television.
