Kyrgyzstan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. The song "Seze bil" performed by Non-Stop was selected as the Kyrgyzstani entry for the contest in a national final. [1]

Background

Kyrgyzstan had previously participated in the inaugural 2013 contest. Çoro represented Kyrgyzstan with the song "Tooluk kız" in Eskişehir, Turkey, placing eighth in the final. [2]

Before Turkvision

National final

Kyrgyzstani broadcaster KTRK organised a national final to select their entry for the contest, which consisted of a non-televised semi-final and a televised final on 26 October 2014. [3]

Non-Stop

Non-Stop (Kyrgyz : Нон-Стоп) was a Kyrgyzstani duo formed in 2011, consisting of members Maksat Sadırbekov and Colpon Talıpbek. [6] The duo disbanded in 2018. [7]

"Seze bil" (Kyrgyz : Сезе бил) is a song by Kyrgyzstani duo Non-Stop, composed by Nazgul Toktokunova, Aman Berdzhibaev and Atkar Berdzhibaev, and with lyrics by Kyalbek Kyrgyz. [9]

At Turkvision

Semi-final

Kyrgyzstan performed thirteenth in the semi-final on 19 November 2014, [10] placing sixth in a field of 25 countries with 190 points, thus qualifying for the final. [11]

Final

Kyrgyzstan performed seventh in the final on 21 November 2014, placing fourth in a field of 15 countries with 196 points.

Voting

The results were determined solely by jury voting. Each country was represented by one juror who gave each song, with the exception of their own country's song, between 1 and 10 points. [12] The Kyrgyzstani juror was Gulnur Satylganova. [13]

Bashkortostan has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest twice since its debut in 2013. The Bashkir broadcaster, Kuray Television (KTV),was the organiser of the Bashkir entry from 2013 to 2014, in 2015 Tugan Tel TV replaced Kuray Television. In 2013, Bashkortostan's first entry at Turkvision, Diana Ishniyazova, failed to qualify to the grand final.

The Turkvision Song Contest 2014 was the second edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Kazan in the region of Tatarstan. Twenty-four Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, confirmed their participation, making it the largest contest exceeding the participation number for the 2013 contest whereas four European countries made their debut. Altai Republic, Belarus, Kemerovo, Kosovo, and Northern Cyprus withdrew from the contest. The semi final took place on 19 November 2014 and the final took place on 21 November 2014. The presenters of the contest were Artem Shalimov, Narmin Agaeva, and Ranil Nuriov.

Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) have been responsible for the selection process of their participants since their debut in 2014. Xhoi Bejko was the first representative for Albania at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Hava ve Ates", which failed to qualify from the semi-finals, finishing in nineteenth place and achieving 154 points. The Turkvision Song Contest 2015 was the third edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey; and organised by Turkish Music Box Television (TMB). A total of twenty-one Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, participated in the contest, as well as one Turkic ethnic groups who do not have a defined region. There was no semi-final this year, whilst the final took place on 19 December 2015.

Bashkortostan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. The Bashkir entry was selected through a national final organised by Bashkir broadcaster Kuray Television (KTV). Zaman won the national final and went on to represent Bashkortostan in the contest, qualifying from the semi-final and finishing in third place in the grand final with the song "Kubair".

Azerbaijan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2013 which took place in Eskişehir, Turkey. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Farid Hasanov won the national final, Turkvision Milli Seçim Turu, on 22 November with the song "Sənsiz", earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. It was revealed at the contest that the song Hasanov would be performing would be called "Yaşa". Azerbaijan won the contest with 210 points.

Azerbaijan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 which took place in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Elvin Ordubadli won the national final, Azərbaycan`ın Sesi, on 21 September with the song "Divlərin yalnızlığı", earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. Azerbaijan placed 9th with 177 points.

Azerbaijan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2015 which took place in Istanbul, Turkey. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Mehman Tağıyev won the national final, Azerbaycan`ın Sesi, on 29 September, earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. On 8 October, his song, "Istanbul" was internally selected. Azerbaijan placed 7th with 155 points.

Kazakhstan participated in and won the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. "Izin kórem", performed by Zhanar Dugalova, was selected as the Kazakhstani entry for the contest in a national final.

Kyrgyzstan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2013 in Eskişehir, Turkey. Çoro were selected as the Kyrgyzstani artist in a national final, with the song "Kaygırba" internally selected at a later date.

Kyrgyzstan participated in, and won, the Turkvision Song Contest 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey. The song "Kim bilet", performed by Jiidesh İdirisova, was selected as the Kyrgyzstani entry for the contest in a national final.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Turkvision Song Contest 2020</span> 4th Turkvision Song Contest

The Turkvision Song Contest 2020 was the fourth edition of the Turkvision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, with performances filmed remotely, and organised by Turkish Music Box Television.

Turkey participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Turkish broadcaster TRT Avaz was responsible for the country's participation in the contest. The song "Hoppa", performed by Funda Kılıç, was internally selected as the Turkish entry for the contest. The song qualified from the semi-final and placed 15th (last) in the final.
