Northern Cyprus is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest. [1]
Northern Cyprus made their debut in the 2013 contest in Eskişehir, Turkey. [1] Gommalar represented Northern Cyprus with the song "Havalanıyor", qualifying from the semi-final and placing 10th in the final with 175 points.
On 20 July 2014 it was announced that Northern Cyprus would make their second appearance at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 to be held in Kazan, Tatarstan in November 2014. [2] It was announced on 19 September, that Northern Cyprus would hold their selection final on 19 October 2014. [3] A total of four singers were selected to participate in the final, the result of the final were as follows:

The country of Northern Cyprus had initially selected İpek Amber to represent them at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014, with the song "Sessiz gidiş" (Silent leaving). [4] But it was later announced that it was highly likely they would have to withdraw due to political technicalities. The singer was to enter Tatarstan using a Northern Cypriot passport. However, due to the Cyprus dispute, the International recognition of Northern Cyprus as a self-declared state is not recognised by Russia, thus denying entry into Tatarstan, a federal subject of Russia. Turkvision Song Contest 2013 was the inaugural edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, held in Eskişehir, Turkey. Twenty-four Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, participated in the contest. The semi-final took place on 19 December 2013, while the final took place on 21 December 2013.
Bashkortostan has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest twice since its debut in 2013. The Bashkir broadcaster, Kuray Television (KTV),was the organiser of the Bashkir entry from 2013 to 2014, in 2015 Tugan Tel TV replaced Kuray Television. In 2013, Bashkortostan's first entry at Turkvision, Diana Ishniyazova, failed to qualify to the grand final.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest four times since its debut in 2013. The Bosnian broadcaster, Hayat TV, has been the organiser of the Bosnian entry since its debut in the contest. In 2013, the Bosnian entry, Ters Bosanka, qualified to the grand final, where they finished in sixth place with a score of 187 points.
Crimea has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest twice since its debut in 2013. The Crimean broadcaster, Crimea Public Radio and Television (CPRT), has been the organiser for the Crimean entry since its debut in the contest. In 2013, Crimea's first entry at Turkvision, Elvira Sarihalil, failed to qualify for the grand final.
Turkmenistan has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest once: in 2014, when Turkmenistan was represented by the song "Shikga-Shikga bilerzik" performed by Züleyha Kakayeva. The song placed 5th in the final with 192 points.
Turkey is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest.
Tatarstan has competed in the Turkvision Song Contest three times. The region debuted in the inaugural 2013 contest, and hosted the 2014 contest in Kazan. Tatarstan did not participate in 2015, though they returned in 2020. Apart from the 2020 contest, Tatarstani broadcaster Maidan Television (MTV) has always organised a national final to select their entry.
Moscow Oblast, one of the Federal subjects of Russia and was competing under the name of Moscow, made their debut at Turkvision Song Contest when they competed at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014, held in Kazan, Tatarstan. It is unknown which of the Russian broadcasters who organised the participation of Moscow. Moscow returned to the Turkvision Song Contest 2020.
Gagauzia has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest three times since its debut in 2013. The Moldovan broadcaster, Gagauz Radio Television (GRT), has been the organiser of the Gagauz entry since its debut in the contest. In 2013, Gagauzia's first entry at Turkvision, Ludmila Turkan, failed to qualify for the grand final.
North Macedonia is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest.
Romania is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest.
Karachay-Cherkessia are one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions who competed in the first Turkvision Song Contest between 17 and 21 December 2013.
Khakassia is one of the participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest.
The Turkvision Song Contest 2014 was the second edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Kazan in the region of Tatarstan. Twenty-four Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, confirmed their participation, making it the largest contest exceeding the participation number for the 2013 contest whereas four European countries made their debut. Altai Republic, Belarus, Kemerovo, Kosovo, and Northern Cyprus withdrew from the contest. The semi final took place on 19 November 2014 and the final took place on 21 November 2014. The presenters of the contest were Artem Shalimov, Narmin Agaeva, and Ranil Nuriov.
Albania has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 3 times since their debut in the 2014 contest in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) have been responsible for the selection process of their participants since their debut in 2014. Xhoi Bejko was the first representative for Albania at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Hava ve Ates", which failed to qualify from the semi-finals, finishing in nineteenth place and achieving 154 points. Albania continued to participate in the contest, and sent Xhoi Bejko and Visar Rexhepi as their representatives in the Turkvision Song Contest 2015, with the song "Adi Hasret", which finished in eighth place, receiving the same total of points as in their previous participation.
The Turkvision Song Contest 2015 was the third edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey; and organised by Turkish Music Box Television (TMB). A total of twenty-one Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, participated in the contest, as well as one Turkic ethnic groups who do not have a defined region. There was no semi-final this year, whilst the final took place on 19 December 2015.
Bashkortostan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. The Bashkir entry was selected through a national final organised by Bashkir broadcaster Kuray Television (KTV). Zaman won the national final and went on to represent Bashkortostan in the contest, qualifying from the semi-final and finishing in third place in the grand final with the song "Kubair".
Tatarstan hosted and participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 in Kazan. The song "Atlar çaba", performed by Aydar Suleymanov, was selected as the Tatarstani entry for the contest in a national final.
Northern Cyprus participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2013 in Eskişehir, Turkey. Gommalar were selected as the Northern Cypriot artists for the contest, while the song "Havalanıyor" was internally selected at a later date.
The Turkvision Song Contest 2020 was the fourth edition of the Turkvision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, with performances filmed remotely, and organised by Turkish Music Box Television.
