Albania has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 3 times since their debut in the 2014 contest in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) have been responsible for the selection process of their participants since their debut in 2014. Xhoi Bejko was the first representative for Albania at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Hava ve Ates", which failed to qualify from the semi-finals, finishing in nineteenth place and achieving 154 points. Albania continued to participate in the contest, and sent Xhoi Bejko and Visar Rexhepi as their representatives in the Turkvision Song Contest 2015, with the song "Adi Hasret", which finished in eighth place, receiving the same total of points as in their previous participation.
Turkvision is an annual song contest which was created by TÜRKSOY in cooperation with the Turkish music channel TMB TV. Based on the similar format of the Eurovision Song Contest, Turkvision focuses primarily on participating Turkic countries and regions. The participating countries and regions have to take part in the Semi Final. A juror from each nation awards between 1 and 10 points for every entry, except their own. An amount of 12 to 15 nations qualify for the Grand Final where the jury determines the winner. TÜRKSOY has stated that televoting is going to be introduced in the future. [1] Unlike the Eurovision Song Contest in which the winning country proceeds to host the following year's event, hosting of the Turkvision Song Contest takes place in the country or region that is also hosting the Turkish Capital of Culture. On 25 September 2014 it was confirmed that Albania would make their official debut at the 2014 Song Contest to be held in Kazan, Tatarstan. [3] For a short period of time it appeared that Albania had withdrawn from the contest, the official website Turkvizyon.tv removed all mention of Albania from their website. [4] On 12 November 2014 it was confirmed by Xhoi that she was still participating and that she would be singing "Zjarr dhe ajër", though the song was later partially translated into Turkish for the contest as "Hava ve Ates". [5] She finished in nineteenth place, achieving a score of 154 points, and therefore failed to qualify for the grand final. [6]
As the official website published the preliminary participants list for 2015, Albania was not among them, on 7 November 2015 it was confirmed that Albania would participate in the contest for a second year, it was announced that Xhoi Bejko and Visar Rexhepi would represent Albania in Istanbul. [7] Xhoi Bejko and Visar Rexhepi represented Albania at the contest in Istanbul with the song "Adı hasret" [8] At the contest, they finished in eighth place, achieving 154 points. [9]
Albania initially confirmed their participation at the 2020 contest with Rovena Stefa and the song "Zjarr". [10] However, for unknown reasons, Stefa withdrew and was replaced by Ilire Ismajli, who performed the song "Përsëri." [11] She finished in nineteenth place, achieving 171 points.

The Turkvision Song Contest, also known as the Türkvizyon Song Contest, has been a recurring song contest created by Turkish music channel TMB TV, inspired by the format of the Eurovision Song Contest. The first edition took place in Eskişehir, Turkey in December 2013. Countries and regions which were Turkic-speaking and of Turkic ethnicity are eligible to participate in the song contest. The contest was last held on 20 December 2020 as an online event hosted from Istanbul, Turkey. Several cancellations followed, and the future of the Turkvision Song Contest remains uncertain.
The participation of the Altai Republic in the Turkvision Song Contest first began at the inaugural Turkvision Song Contest, in Eskişehir, Turkey, in 2013. STRC Altai Mountains, a network owned by All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), have been responsible for the selection process of their participants, since their debut in 2013. Artur Marlujokov was the first representative for the Altai Republic at the Turkvision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Altayym Menin", which qualified from the semifinals, and finished in fifth place, achieving one-hundred and eighty-nine points in the grand final.
The participation of Azerbaijan in the Turkvision Song Contest first began in Eskişehir, Turkey, at the inaugural edition of the Turkvision Song Contest in 2013. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) have been responsible for the selection process of their participants, since their debut in 2013. Farid Hasanov was the first representative for Azerbaijan at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Yaşa", which qualified from the semifinals and won the contest, achieving two-hundred and ten points in the grand final. Azerbaijan continued to participate in the contest, and sent Elvin Ordubadli as their representative in the Turkvision Song Contest 2014, with the song "Divlərin yalnızlığı", which finished in ninth place, achieving 177 points in the grand final.
Belarus has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 3 times since its debut in 2013. Details regarding the Belarusian broadcaster which organises Belarus' entry are unknown. In 2013, Belarus' first entry at Turkvision, Gunesh Abasova, qualified from the semi-final, and placed 2nd in the final achieving 205 points.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest four times since its debut in 2013. The Bosnian broadcaster, Hayat TV, has been the organiser of the Bosnian entry since its debut in the contest. In 2013, the Bosnian entry, Ters Bosanka, qualified to the grand final, where they finished in sixth place with a score of 187 points.
Ukraine were one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the first Turkvision that took place between 17 and 21 December 2013.
Gagauzia has participated in the Turkvision Song Contest three times since its debut in 2013. The Moldovan broadcaster, Gagauz Radio Television (GRT), has been the organiser of the Gagauz entry since its debut in the contest. In 2013, Gagauzia's first entry at Turkvision, Ludmila Turkan, failed to qualify for the grand final.
North Macedonia is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest.
Kazakhstan has participated in every edition of the Turkvision Song Contest since the inaugural contest in 2013. Kazakhstan won the contest in 2014, when they were represented by the song "Izin kórem", performed by Zhanar Dugalova.
Moldova has never participated in the Turkvision Song Contest. Moldova was expected to participate in the 2016 contest in Istanbul, Turkey, however the 2016 contest was subsequently cancelled due to the December 2016 Istanbul bombings. Moldova had selected the song "Yallah Yallah!", performed by Pelageya Stefoglo, as their debut entry. Moldova are expected to participate in the upcoming 2020 contest, held online in Istanbul. Pelageya Stefoglo was again internally selected as the Moldovan artist.
Yakutia is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the Turkvision Song Contest.
Tuva, a federal subject of Russia, has competed in the Turkvision Song Contest three times. Participants representing Tuva entered the semi-finals in the 2013 and 2014 contests, but no participants from Tuva entered in 2015. They returned to the contest in 2020.
The Turkvision Song Contest 2014 was the second edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Kazan in the region of Tatarstan. Twenty-four Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, confirmed their participation, making it the largest contest exceeding the participation number for the 2013 contest whereas four European countries made their debut. Altai Republic, Belarus, Kemerovo, Kosovo, and Northern Cyprus withdrew from the contest. The semi final took place on 19 November 2014 and the final took place on 21 November 2014. The presenters of the contest were Artem Shalimov, Narmin Agaeva, and Ranil Nuriov.
The debut of Russia in the Turkvision Song Contest was originally announced as taking place at the Turkvision Song Contest 2013. However, upon the publication of the finalised participation list, Russia no longer appeared as taking part. Although, several Federal subjects of Russia, have competed in the Turkvision Song Contest ever since its inaugural contest in 2013.
The Turkvision Song Contest 2015 was the third edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey; and organised by Turkish Music Box Television (TMB). A total of twenty-one Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, participated in the contest, as well as one Turkic ethnic groups who do not have a defined region. There was no semi-final this year, whilst the final took place on 19 December 2015.
The participation of Poland in the Turkvision Song Contest was expected to begin in Istanbul, Turkey, at the Turkvision Song Contest 2016. The national broadcaster responsible for the selection process of Poland's participants has yet to be known. Poland had selected Olga Shimanskaya with her song "Masal gibi bu dünya", as their debut entry. However, the 2016 contest was subsequently cancelled due to the December 2016 Istanbul bombings, leading Poland to debut at the 2020 contest four years later,
Azerbaijan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2013 which took place in Eskişehir, Turkey. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Farid Hasanov won the national final, Turkvision Milli Seçim Turu, on 22 November with the song "Sənsiz", earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. It was revealed at the contest that the song Hasanov would be performing would be called "Yaşa". Azerbaijan won the contest with 210 points.
Azerbaijan participated in the Turkvision Song Contest 2015 which took place in Istanbul, Turkey. Azad Azerbaijan TV (ATV) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Mehman Tağıyev won the national final, Azerbaycan`ın Sesi, on 29 September, earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. On 8 October, his song, "Istanbul" was internally selected. Azerbaijan placed 7th with 155 points.
The Turkvision Song Contest 2020 was the fourth edition of the Turkvision Song Contest. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, with performances filmed remotely, and organised by Turkish Music Box Television.
