The ward covers the north and northeastern areas of the town and is notable for being the site of both the Brownhills Roundabout [6] on the A46 road and the Newark Flat Crossing between the East Coast Main Line and Nottingham-Lincoln Line. [7]

Amenities

Bridge is mostly residential and industrial. It does have some retail centres including Newark Town Centre, a McDonald's on Lincoln Road [8] and Newark Northgate Retail Park also off Northgate, Trent Lane and Lincoln Road Bridge. [9]
