The National Register of Historic Places in the United States is a register including buildings, sites, structures, districts, and objects. The Register automatically includes all National Historic Landmarks as well as all historic areas administered by the U.S. National Park Service. Since its introduction in 1966, more than 90,000 separate listings have been added to the register.

It encompasses a well-preserved early 19th-century industrial village, with twenty historically significant properties in the village, most of which lie on Connecticut Route 4 between Beach Street and Thompson Road. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
The Russells Mills Village Historic District is a historic district on Russells Mills, Rock O' Dundee, Slades Corner, Horseneck and Fisher Roads in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. It encompasses an area that was an early industrial center, flourishing from the 18th century into the early 19th century. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Bristol Historic District in Bristol, Pennsylvania was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The district has over 300 buildings, a few dating back to the early eighteenth century. It includes 28 acres, which is the area of the original town as laid out in 1697 and is bounded by the Delaware River, and Lincoln, Pond, Cedar, and Mill Streets. Most of the buildings are residential and only 22 are considered to be non-historic intrusions to the district.

The district includes 52 contributing buildings and 5 structures associated with the early settlement and industrial development of the Chester Creek valley. Notable buildings and structures include the Yarnall Bank House, Locksley Mill and Manor House (1704), John Edwards House, Glen Mills Station (1882), Station House and Store, Willcox Mills, Workers' Cottages, Daniel Broomall House, and the Hemphill House.
Bowmansville Roller Mill, also known as the Von Nieda Mill, is a historic roller mill and national historic district located at Bowmansville, Brecknock Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The district encompasses two contributing buildings and one contributing structure. The grist / roller mill was built in 1850, and is a 3 1/2-story, rectangular brownstone building measuring 45 feet by 50 feet, 5 inches. The property includes a two-story, brownstone and frame sawmill, and a headrace and tailrace. The mills closed about 1945.

The district includes nine contributing buildings in the rural crossroads village of Andrews Bridge. The buildings were built between 1800 and 1850 and are the old Roop's Hotel, a former mill also known as Dobbin's Store, four dwellings, and three barns.
Upper Roxborough Historic District is a national historic district located in Philadelphia and Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 108 contributing buildings, 23 contributing sites, and 18 contributing structures in Upper Roxborough. The district includes a number of small scale farm and industrial workers' housing, estate houses, mill-owners' dwellings, and farm buildings. Notable buildings include the Shawmont Railroad Station (1834), Miquon Station designed by Frank Furness (1910), Riverside Paper Mills, Hagy's Mill ruin, St. Mary's Church, and "Fairview" and other buildings on the grounds of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. The Roxborough Pumping Station was also part of the district, but it was demolished in 2011 after sitting abandoned for over fifty years.

The Central Square Historic District of Bristol, New Hampshire, encompasses the central commercial district of the town. The square is a four-sided space near the junction of six roadways in the center of Bristol, just north of the Newfound River and west of the Pemigewasset River. The district includes all of the buildings that are arrayed around the square, as well as one contemporary commercial building located just south of the Newfound River on South Main Street. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The Bristol Downtown Historic District encompasses the historic late 19th-century commercial heart of Bristol, Vermont. At first a rural agricultural market town, it developed in the second half of the 19th century as a small industrial center, producing finished wood products. Its downtown occupies an area of one block on both sides of Main Street, and features a diversity of architectural styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
