Interleague play in Major League Baseball refers to regular-season baseball games played between an American League (AL) team and a National League (NL) team. Interleague play was first introduced during the 1997 Major League Baseball season. Before that, matchups between AL teams and NL teams occurred only during spring training, the All-Star Game, other exhibition games, and the World Series. Unlike modern interleague play, none of these contests, except for the World Series, counted toward official team or league records.

The team won every championship between 1984 and 1989. However, the Tornados have not won a championship since 1997, though they perennially make the playoffs.
Regensburg Legionäre e.V., commonly referred to as Regensburg Legionäre, is a baseball and softball club from Regensburg, Bavaria. The team is currently known as Guggenberger Legionäre, being sponsored by a construction company from Mintraching. Between 2008 and 2020 the team was called Buchbinder Legionäre after a car rental company.

The 2014–15 Rugby-Bundesliga was the 44th edition of this competition and the 95th edition of the German rugby union championship. In the Rugby-Bundesliga, twenty-one teams played in, initially, four regional divisions, the first stage of the competition, followed by a championship round of sixteen clubs and, finally, the play-offs consisting of twelve teams. The season started on 30 August 2014 and finished with the championship final on 16 May 2015 in Heidelberg, interrupted by a winter break from December to late February. Nominally the league should consist of twenty-four teams however only twenty-one fulfilled the licensing requirements for 2014–15.

1. Baseball- und Softballclub Bonn Capitals e.V., commonly referred to as Bonn Capitals, is a German baseball and softball club from Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, founded on November 8, 1989. Its first men's team has been competing in the Baseball Bundesliga since 1994 and currently plays in its northern division, the Bundesliga Nord, after initially playing in the southern division until 1996. The women's softball team was promoted to the northern division of the Softball Bundesliga in 2018.
The Cologne Cardinals are a German baseball and softball team based in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. The team is organized as a registered sports association under German law and has the support of a large number of volunteers. Founded in 1983, the team plays their home games at Circlewood Stadium in the Müngersdorf sports park, in the proximity of Cologne's soccer facilities.
