Callipogon is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Cerambycidae. [1] Its closest relatives are the genera Enoplocerus, Ergates and Trichocnemis, with divergence from these lineages estimated to the Cretaceous about 80 million years ago. [2] Most species are found in the Neotropics, with Callipogon relictus being the only palearctic species.
The following species are recognised in the genus Callipogon:
Prionus Geoffroy, 1762 is a genus of long-horned beetles of the subfamily Prioninae, tribe Prionini, widespread in Europe, Asia and North America.
Xixuthrus is a small genus of long-horned beetles, found primarily on Pacific islands, including Indonesia, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Fiji, and contains some of the largest living insect species, the giant Fijian long-horned beetle and the Taveuni beetle. These beetles have powerful jaws, and should be handled with care when alive. No scientists have yet seen a larva of this genus, although in Fiji, where three different species occur, the natives consider them to be a rare and special delicacy.
Derobrachus is a genus of beetles in the Cerambycidae. It contains the following species:
Macrodontia is an American genus of long-horned beetles remarkable for their large size and for the large mandibles of the males in particular.
The Vesperidae are a small family of beetles, normally classified within the family Cerambycidae, of heterogeneous aspect but all characterised by larval stages related to roots of herbaceous plants or trees
Callipogon relictus is a species of longhorn beetle which is mostly found in Korea, but also in China and southern part of Russian Far East. It inhabits mixed and deciduous forests. The population of Callipogon relictus is decreasing due to deforestation and uncontrolled collection, and therefore the species are listed in the Russian Red Book.
Tithoes is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Cerambycidae.
Parandra is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Myzomorphus is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Orthomegas is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Mecosarthron is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Physopleurus is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Strongylaspis is a genus of beetles in the longhorn beetle family, Cerambycidae.
Praemallaspis is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Quercivir is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Solenoptera is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae. As of 2018, it contains the following species:
Ayriclytus is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Volxemia is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Aegomorphus is a large genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae.
Grammopsis is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
